Any early reads on ORD?
Hi Guys, my start up is losing funding and I’m getting laid off. Just moved to the U.K. 8 months back and will now have to move back if I don’t get a new role within 60 days. I had a great time here and truly enjoyed my stay here. I’m looking for roles in consulting/banking and would love if anyone can refer me in their organisation (Previously have worked with Big4 as well as BB IB)

No can do my friend. It's either LIRR or drive. Some buses may go there but it's a long shot
LIRR is the best bet
Why no LIRR?
The LIRR is nice (and you can drink on it if you desire!). And for what it's worth... I've taken the LIRR 3 hours after a 22 flight and survived 😱
Subway? Long Island is relatively big though, could you be more specific? JFK? Hamptons? Montauk?
True. Roslyn area
Taxi isn't unreasonably expensive
From penn? Lol thats a pretty penny
Bf doesnt wanna take LIRR. We're both traveling in from other states. LIRR late at night after 4-5 hours traveling prior doesnt sound fun 😔
In that case, rent a car or Uber. It will be time consuming either way. My parents live in LI and I would personally recommend LIRR.
In general, I would take LIRR over driving almost any time if it's a viable option, but particularly after a long trip rather than fighting road traffic.
Thanks guys! Looks like LIRR it'll be! My friend suggested a LI ferry that started running into the Roslyn area from Manhattan, but i believe its only during rush hour right?
