I’m a certified Health Coach (my training/courses are CCE-accredited by the International Coach Federation) w/ a BS in Psychology. I got a temp to hire starting at $18/hr. It is my first professional health coach job & they did not require temps to have a coaching certification, but I have one. I’d like to know if temps could negotiate salary when given the job offer. I've decided to leave public for an Accounting Manager position in private. What are the different types of companies to consider and the pros/cons? What are the best ways to get the position? I'm leaning toward GL accounting at a publicly-traded company. My background is 3.5 years audit and 2.5 years technical accounting advisory.

Anyone feel like it is hard to articulate how your PA experience is applicable for industry ? Had an interview with a company recruiter who wasn’t very familiar with auditing... then felt I had to explain what it was I did day to day and ended up down a rabbit hole.

Has anyone made the switch from accounting to sales, or moved into sales from a previous career? What was your experience making that transition?

I’ve been interviewing for new positions to leave PA. But in my current position, we’ve been adding quite a few new projects (and our team is partner, two staff, and me) that will probably start over the next couple of months. I don’t think my boss has any idea I’m looking to leave - anything I should do to not feel guilty about potentially leaving them short staffed with a ton of work? Is this something you think about when looking to leave?
