Anyone have three kids and working in big law? I just found out I’m pregnant with no. 3 and it’s been a lot trying to juggle morning sickness, but based on my experience, I know this is only the tip of the iceberg of what’s to come. My husband and I are elated, but the anxiety of being a mom of 3 kids and working in big law is preventing me from truly enjoying this news. It would be good to know what it’s really like having 3 kids so that I can evaluate how long I really have left in big law.

Has anyone ever gotten the SGB treatment? Was doing some research on chronic pain management treatments and found something called Stellate Ganglion Block (SGB), a non-invasive injection that helps chronic pain, anxiety and PTSD symptoms. Helps 'reset' the flight or fight CNS.

Would love to hear about your experience and how has your pain/PTSD symptoms been since!

I have PCOS, so getting pregnant has not been straightforward. We are about 6 months into trying and I am on some drugs to help. My husband basically blames me for not being pregnant yet and routinely says I am a ‘mess’ for not understanding my cycle, even though I am going by what the doctors tell me. I haven’t been stressed by having PCOS, but his constant remarks are really getting to me

Seriously thinking of taking a 6 mo sabbatical and getting away from it all for a while next year. Potentially travel around the world in Q3 / Q4 presuming the pandemic situation has improved. Single and kids are in college so no day to day family responsibilities. Anyone done something similar? Would love to hear your experiences. I know it will set me back from making Partner by at least 1 year but who cares? I feel like it will be a life changing experience (traveling around the world part).

Hey! I’m new here and would like some input. I’ve been working in a new position for almost 5 months. In that time I’ve witnessed some unethical and lots of unprofessional behavior. I’ve been yelled at and berated by my coworker 3 separate times because of minor errors. I’m ready to quit. There are so many major issues in this company that I don’t know if I want to subject my mental health to this degree of toxicity. I just don’t know how to move forward from here.

How do I become more assertive at work? I keep getting this feedback. I don’t think I am a shy person, I am however an introvert and don’t go out of my way to interact with people. I do good work and believe it should speak for itself. My supervisor told me that this is not how it works in consulting. I am worried I will not be able to climb the ladder because of my personality. Any tips on how women on the more introverted side of the spectrum have made it in consulting?

I recently had an interview with HCL and cleared 2 rounds of technical interview. I waited for a week for HR call but no such call was received. I then contacted the POC who scheduled the interview (he is an HCL employee) and he said that I have been shortlisted and will receive HR call shortly. This was 1 week ago and I have still not received any call. Has anyone else faced the same issue? And if yes, should I even expect a call fro HR?

I’m looking to move my mom locally to take care of her in just over a year. She wants to live alone so I’m trying to figure out best options. So far im leaning towards buying her a small place so I don’t have to sink money into renting her a place and can at least get some equity.
