no agency reports their actual numbers. This is about as reliable as a glassdoor salary survey.
No, a survey is just asking people questions and those responses are often emotionally charged. This is based on when users input their resume data into their profiles over the years.
I have no reason to believe that most ad people's start-end dates are wildly off from reality. Especially with new hires.
