You'll notice there are some Boston agencies in the mix as well. Here is the average tenure of employment at NYC agencies.

I tried making the data labels larger. Let me know if they're still too blurry.

no agency reports their actual numbers. This is about as reliable as a glassdoor salary survey.

No, a survey is just asking people questions and those responses are often emotionally charged. This is based on when users input their resume data into their profiles over the years. I have no reason to believe that most ad people's start-end dates are wildly off from reality. Especially with new hires.

Oh hey, I was one of those suckers that got laid off.

Very cool. What do you follow to get this data

Nice data!

Glad I went from one side of the graph to the other this year

I’d love to see average time to promotion. Guarantee you a few of the agencies I’ve worked for are 3+ year averages across experience levels

Hello! I have a two part question: 1) is it worth it to obtain an SHRM specialty credential if I don’t have the broader SHRM certification? 2) has anyone gotten the People Analytics or Talent Acquistion credential? If so, how valuable was it from a learning perspective? Do you feel it significantly contributed to your knowledge in either area? Thank you!

Most random but amazing place you traveled due to a client engagement within the contiguous US. I’ll go first: Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Surprisingly a great spot to get away to!

Can someone provide feedback on this offer? Analyst role, fed govt contract analyst. Currently <2yoe in audit. Role is max 40 hours a week. Pay will be 80-90k. I like the hours and deviation from accounting, worried about what a government role might do to my career projections. Thanks!

I have a final round interview with a hedge fund in the NYC area. Approximately $15bn AUM and 40 employees. I am meeting with the founder of the firm and was told we would be discussing comp. I just graduated from college this year and the role is business development associate. The hiring manager described it as a front office role. What salary range should I be expecting going into the meeting? What about bonus?

Do you think it’s better to go to immediately go a firm that’s beyond your skillset or work your way up to that firm? For example, going to a T2 firm as an experienced hire having never done consulting without or starting at a smaller consulting firm and then going to T2/MBB?

Any recs for a semi-affordable, last minute get away? I’m still 100% remote, I’m burned out & I need a change of scenery for a few days. I’d plan to go for a long weekend & then work remotely for part & take part completely off.

Getting married next month and we’d like to have a joint checking account to cover shared expenses, however I don’t want to miss out on all the points I can rack up by consistently using my delta platinum card (spending thresholds = point bonuses, etc). Also my credit card bill will likely be a mix of shared and personal expenses, so how do couples go about this? Open to any advice. Thanks!
