Did literally NOBODY think to suggest they audit their business practices before going out on this particular limb?! Creativity is great and all but avoiding self-inflicted relationship damage is tougher than getting the client to buy the idea you’re in love with. Worth finding out if the client deserves it.
All advertising is fraud. This was just particularly well executed fraud.

Or the Audi Super Bowl spot that on Twitter went from “great job” to “here’s a photo of your all white male board” within three hours.

*Fearless Girl* subverted any message Arturo Di Modica's *Charging Bull* tried to convey. Di Modica created and installed the *Bull* during the 1987 stock market crash - it was meant to symbolize the "strength and power of the American people" - sorta like the indomitable American spirit and the power to overcome hard times.
When *Fearless Girl* was installed, it suddenly turned the *Bull* into a symbol against a woman's place on Wall Street. Di Modica was pissed, and rightfully so. Not only had *Fearless Girl* changed the entire meaning of his piece into something of an anti-women-on-Wall-Street symbol, but it was done so by a fucking hedge fund company in order to advertise a newly created index fund called SHE - a portfolio of companies that had 51% or more of their senior management as female. They not only ruined his message, but they were profiting off of it too.
*Pissing Pug* was meant to subvert the message of *Fearless Girl* in much the same way, reminding people that this was just a corporate publicity stunt by a company that cared very little about anything other than your money.
There was another post about this last night. Fearless Girl didn't even actually win the Grand Prix they ended up getting. The judges didn't vote for it, but they felt they had to give them one because of all their wins. 🙄
