Just accepted a role as SM with another firm. Problem is that their office that I will be based out of doesn’t have a practice for my speciality niche which means I’ll be working exclusively with partners in other offices to continue working on my speciality. Will this potentially stall my career and any hopes of being partner?

Compensation Question: I just got promoted to senior associate w/highest rating possible. Went from roughly 77k to 88k. W/ inflation and promotion year I feel like that was low. I've been interviewing. How much should I be asking for? I don't want to low ball myself. But I don't want to scare them away. I do end to end erp implementation and I lead finance side with full scoping, req gathering, design, implementation, testing, training and PM work with budgeting etc. Just for some background.
