OC asked me for a 39 day extension to file responsive pleading to my complaint. He cited corona virus as his excuse. Nothing more just corona virus. I agreed to 20days and he filed a motion for con.

All the courts near me have issued an automatic 38 day extension for all deadlines falling within a certain timeframe. OC is probably asking for relief most courts are ordering anyway or relief he is already getting from other jurisdictions he is working in. Not sure where you are but it might have just been a courtesy email for what the court might have already ordered. Might want to double check your court website.

Pointless not to have given him the time. His motion will be heard in 120 days now.

There’s definitely some skullduggery about these days but probably the best practice is just to document it (i.e. send an email saying you saw the motion and noticed that he put a number of days in that you didn’t agree to) and move on.

No judge is going to care during this time. No point in fighting.

It’s hard to understand COVID-19 rates of infection where I’m at or was, and the contracts was not inline with corporate ideals at least not in the IT sector. Their ideals was radical and the spread of harmful information on past events to prevent ethnicities to get vaccinated was alarming. It has highest infection rate in private sector. Don’t know death rates was strictly remote and put on non-sanctioned project NDA wasn’t signed and never knew until it came down the grapevine.

Has anyone ever had to pay back legal/greencard fees? I had to sign a document saying that I would pay back all fees incurred by my company if I quit within a year of leaving after I got my greencard. I’ve been at this company for 7 years and the greencard process took 4 years. I got the greencard this March but I’m not sure if I can deal with working here for another 6 months.

A company X hasnt sent me the revised offer letter yet as the offer generation is in progress and tomorrow is my joining with them, and offer also i might get tomorrow itself. They sent me an indicative breakup and mail confirmation that the offer amount is approved, should i believe them and withdraw the backup offer that I have as their joining date is also tomorrow. What should i do? Pls suggest as its urgent.

My firm has a collections budget (80% of your billable rate x 1850 hours) and an hourly budget that must be met in order to be eligible for a bonus.
