Are starting salaries for the same jobs different by school? Like for example would MBB/FAANG pay more for a HBS grad than a Booth grad? Or is it just that the HBS grad has better chances at landing the position, but the pay is the same?
Does anyone know the salary range and sign on bonus for this position at PWC? LA based Provider Operations- Revenue Cycle Senior Associate
Salesforce has an "exempt" and "non-exempt" employment status. Non-exempt means the role is "hourly" and therefore eligible for overtime. What are the disadvantages/risks to this type of contract? I'm a Customer Success Manager with Slack, and had a standard employment contract prior. Thanks!
Need opinion: interviewing for a L4 position at amazon and the HR emailed to ask for my salary expectation (before the interview), never been in a situation discussing salary before interview...
Hi there- I am considering pursuing a certification in HR analytics or data analysis and visualization to enhance my data storytelling skills as an HR Business Partner. I have no prior data analytics experience aside from what I’ve learned on the job evaluating employee data (ie exit and engagement surveys) and making recommendations based on past experience. Does anyone have any advice or recommendations on leveraging this type of certificate in your role?
Looking for Senior Copywriter Both HCP & DTC Copy Subs Both HCP & DTC ADC/CD Copy both HCP & DTC Remote position, Agency background is required! DM if interested!
Keep chase sapphire preferred for the potential referral bonuses (and transfer to CSR) or downgrade to Freedom?
Does anyone have experience in transitioning from tax (specifically transaction tax) to an advisory group? Recruiter suggests it’s a mix of FP&A, Deal Advisory and some technical accounting. I definitely am interested in pursuing the role as pivoting out of tax is something I’ve wanted to do, but concerned the learning curve might be overwhelming without an audit background. S2 with 3.5 YOE.
Experienced hire Manager here, informed before Christmas that I’ll be taking another lap but not because of performance (5/5 on scats and all operating at next level) or metrics (22mm in MR) but the only reason is I need more time in the “saddle”… During this time, I’ve been replying to recruiters and after a PPMD interview last week, I was offered an SM role at a smaller firm with a base pay increase of 45% (225k) over my current salary. Very much considering this… thoughts?
What is the role of VC corporate development groups within the broader firm? How does comp compare relative to the investment team?
Moving from consulting to engineering? Started out in CS and had internships and a short job as an engineer before I moved into consulting. I have been enjoying in a lot but am scared that I won’t be able to move back into engineering if I stay too long. Anyone have similar experience or advice? Have I already made myself a worse candidate by taking a non-engineering role or can I say that it allowed me to bolster my soft skills?
I have a final round interview for a business strategy manager role at a smaller company in a not very glamorous industry and I think I will likely get the job. The job is a great stepping stone and better pay but I’ve been at KPMG all my career so far (6 years) and I’m scared of making a move especially to a much less known company. Any thoughts or words of wisdom on this?
My husband suggested a gender reversal role play the other night (ie I (a female) dress in the traditionally masculine way and he dress as a woman) - he seemed really nervous suggesting it. In the same night he asked me to paint his nails with clear polish - is this him exploring his gender expression? How seriously do I take this? What can I do to support him if this is the case without making him feel threatened? Also, would appreciate any help in how to think about this myself as I want cont.
Got ghosted by a recruiter after he promised to pass my resume along for a role. Just saw the role posted by the agency on LI. Should I re-apply with them directly?
Anyone willing to connect and provide coaching on how to get into MBB or management consulting in general? I recently have an interview with one of the MBB for EM position, I don't think I would get it, but interested in learning more as I've always wanted to do management consulting. I plan to reapply in a year or so.

Anyone have experience with being laid off after coming back from maternity leave? My family member recently did and we have email documentation that it’s related to her maternity leave...
I’ve gotten emails lately talking about how we are hiring at Accenture and asking us to tap into our networks, so figured I’d post on here. Needs being called out can be seen in the picture. I can’t promise I’ll respond to everything but if anyone wants a referral feel free to reach out. Also, I work in healthcare and I’ve gotten separate emails from leadership about how we need to hire more people there too.
If you live in the US, are you starting to accept the fact you’ll probably catch Covid-19 before a vaccine is widely available? Given the rate of spread in US
PwC people who recently joined. When do you receive the sign on bonus. I understand the pay cycle is every 15 days. Should I expect to get it in the very first pay check?
Currently exp audit associate (1.5 years at firm). Looking to move into industry internal audit. Currently at 65.5k, what is a reasonable salary to expect and ask for?
Hi guys, presently a manager at acn. Have a senior security assurance consultant offer at Amazon and potentially a security program manager offer from a tech company outside of faang. My personal PC hard drive crashed - taking with it 8 years of family pics, among other things. Backup lesson learnt. Having said that, data recovery specialists are asking for $900 to recover drive contents. What would you do? No-brainer for me, but other thoughts?
I I’ve been working remote full-time since March 2020. I’ve hired people remotely. Ive sold shit to clients remotely. I’ve done good work that I’m really proud of remotely. I think I figured out the work from home/remote thing pretty well. I’m starting a new job on Monday that is also fully remote and I’m kind of terrified. Have no idea what it’s gonna be like to start a job this way. Any advice?
AMP Agency in SEA?
Is it a bad look as a senior associate (on the path to manager within a year) to be driving an expensive car like a C7 or C8 corvette that is $70k+? I don’t think it is and here’s my rationale. I’m making over 6 figures, maxing out my 401k and IRA accounts with extra $ going to a brokerage account, I have a 3BR 1300 sq foot home with finished basement and garage for $170k. My two loans are only $240k combined. Heck most people spend more on a house alone. Work remote so vette isn’t daily driver.
They credited my whole 3 night stay, but I went back and asked for points too. I feel like one company crediting another company isn't really making up for the fact that I may never sleep again
Playing the market for higher TC at other Salesforce consulting firms like Deloitte, Accenture, PWC, Silverline. I’m very close to my C1 promotion here at cap and think it will be announced in the next few weeks. Should I stay or should I go if I get an offer with $200k+ TC? Currently at $120k
Hello everyone, I am currently a HR Generalist for a small aerospace company, located in CA. I have been in a generalist role for a little over 4 years now and before that, I did recruiting/safety for about 3 years. I am now looking into getting my HR Certification, but am stuck in between the PHR-CA or the SHRM-CP. Does anyone have any recommendations they can give me?
I am an expert path associate at McKinsey with 1.5 YOE + 6 YOE prior to McK. Expected 2022 TC = 200k base + 50-70k bonus. How should I position myself for (Sr) Director level jobs given my current tenure? I want to test the job market right now, but it seems like recruiters are reaching out for Sr Manager jobs with significantly less TC than what I’m making. Any tips on specific themes or types of experiences I should highlight for those positions would be greatly appreciated!

This is a dumb question but I'm curious to know who makes the decision to invite EH applicants to interview? Is it HR eg for generalists or practice leads, in case of specialist applicants?
Just saw a social media post by a CCCO that makes it sound like he’s suffering through this new WFH routine. Jesus. Get some perspective. And what is so tough about WFH? So old fashioned.
