99.9% you don't get promoted only if you suck terribly
That's not true and super harsh. If your utilization is low (<60%) then often the firm may feel you didn't get enough client facing experience to be successful as a senior. Each case of a non promote at this level is taken seriously. If you are worried, I suggest regular meetings with your counselor and project manager to ensure you are on the right track.
I don't see what's harsh and rude about my comment. Almost everyone does get promoted unless they have utilization or performance issues
