With you in this. Have been in and out of it a few times. Feels terrible, I know. A few days are normal, a few days are too intense. But don't give up, take professional help, talk bout it with those you trust. I took up gardening and it did help for a while. You might find it difficult but try these - Try going for walks, any kind of physical exercise helps. Try and practice healthy sleeping patterns, coz sleep helps calm the mind. Eat even on days you don't feel like, your body needs food whatever your mind says. Things might not change in one night but trust that it will get better. You are doing your best, know it and trust it. Be there for yourself in this journey, be kind to yourself. One day you will thank yourself for not giving up. And we are all with you here, you can always share with us.
Take good care of and pamper yourself. Definitely go for professional help with a good doctor. It is absolutely worth it. Keeping a pet has also helped a few folks I know.
But professional help is paramount! Take care and wish you a super speedy recovery ❤️

Agree. A good starting point is Dharamshala or better, 5km from there - McLeod Ganj.
I don't know if it'll be of any help but i tried and felt a little better when I stopped cursing my job that literally gave me depression, i started looking at the good in everything, i took up my long lost hobby of painting. I stopped getting bothered by things that would usually irritate the hell out of me.
At the end of the day, you have to tell yourself that you're strong enough to keep going.
And please connect with another therapist. I really hope you feel better soon!
Thankyou all for your responses... I would just like to show gratitude and add that it feels less pathetic when you get to know that you're not alone in this.

I hate weekends coz there are no work distractions 😞
I bought my first house and frozen , got dream job frozen.. everything thing was like a task to me.. anger for no reason, only happiness at times was time with my baby... During COVID it went too far so I consulted psychiatry and feeling a lot better... Sometimes we need medicine like other health issues. Therapy can't solve. But only see good Dr who deals with people like us .
You can share your problem here. You might feel better
5 Things which got me fully out of depression are. Exercise, good nutrition(always eat healthy), proper sleep, deep breathing, prayer and meditation. If I can get better so can you. It was hell for me. But now I'm 99% better.
I was 8n depression. The first key point is accepting the truth. Accepting what happened. Accepting this is our life. I usually compare mine with people of my age n with my cousin get more depressed. Now a days i say myself this has been happened to me but I don't deserve it. But on it I will fight till the last day of life to be happy and ll never quit and make myself happy. Started having distraction, doing things that make me happy. Hit gym every morning , started learning guitar. Find ur likes and ur wish on childhood and try to achieve it. Plan a Solo trip and get lost yourself. One life enjoy it to the extreme you can. Let the depression get suprised with ur attitude. Happy life dude
Dont think you are the one depressed, 2 in 10 people are now in depression. Help others in any way ,be proud of yourself always. Celebrate everything though it is a smaller things.
Just talk with someone and take the load of your heart. That seems to work for me. Try that

Depression is my second nature.
Once you enter this realm, there's really no jump back.
One thing that I have learnt is that you have to keep it low. Any suicidal thoughts come into your head na, it's cheezy but remember "3 idiots"? Rancho says, remember your parents. These parents will lose their smile.
That's what kept me alive all these years.
Think about them alone. Nothing else. You owe them your life.
And you only can uplift your life.
Find a hobby. Try something new that takes up a lot of attention and time. Get engaged with gardening, drawings, paintings, play instruments.
If you can, get a pet dear.
You can win happiness. You create your happiness. Nobody else does. Just remember that.
And in anytime, if you feel you need to talk to someone. Feel free to ping. :)
I hope you stay the happiest!
☺️

Therapy as in?? Counselling? Counselling might not help too much other than coping mechanisms which might not work for everyone. You need endorphins in body. Workout produces endorphines. Or mood elevator meds might help you for time being to increase seratonin production. From someone who was depressed for 20 years, never realized and thought this is how everyone feels generally… and managed to find a way to survive.
I have been in and out of depression since my school years. What I have found that there is no true escape from this but accepting it and living with it for so many years i can offer my perspective.
I am a professional artist and a photographer, many people will tell you to get a hobby. Sure it does help if you want to take your mind somewhere else for a moment. But it is not a long term solution.
Was dealing with crippling anxiety in my college years so decided to get professional help but didn't have the courage to go to the doc alone, instead went on trip with like minded group and my life changed after that. I started observing people around me and found out some points that trigged my anxiety and worked upon it. I can proudly say I am anxiety free now.
Give yourself some time to think and retrospect that why am I feeling the way I am rn, it can be your past or present issues. Try to figure it out and accordingly take help, if it is out of control please see a doctor as soon as possible. They will surely help you get the right medication.
Find the root cause that is driving you nuts. Start working from that point. If it’s job, then switch, if it’s relationship, take some time off. If it’s family issues, share with ur best buddies. One way or the other way, only by sharing your sorrows, you can reduce it- believe me, it’ll work. Talk to close people. Take help. And get well soon
