Anyone looking to move to a mid size consulting firm (West Monroe)- doing super exciting work with a great company culture and very fair compensation, hit me up. We are growing very rapidly and hiring aggressively! Also really trying to increase diversity so there’s that too! Shoot me a message and let me know!
I’m currently making 83K at AFS. 2.5 YOE. I’m interviewing with Deloitte GPS for a consultant level position and the recruiter mentioned 80K-90K for base salary. I don’t hate my role at AFS, I just want to leave to get more experience and money. I don’t think it makes sense to leave for anything less than 97K. Should I follow through with the interview for this role? Is there a chance Deloitte GPS would offer 97K-100K for the consultant level? This is for a Human Capital Consultant role btw
I took a new job in order to move across the country for my husband's promotion and I hate my new job. The role sold to me by the recruiter and company leadership is not at all what I am actually doing. I am so overworked it's unreal. At first I thought that maybe I just sucked, even though I'm a seasoned sales professional with 11 years experience, but then I found out that I have 227 accounts vs the 35 & 64 that my counterparts have. Do I go over my boss's head and discuss with leadership?
PwCers - has anybody got comp and bonus?
What should a mid level CW make once promoted to Senior in NYC? Like general range what’s a competitive salary for a big agency?
Anyone from have any insight into the salary for Security Customer Engineer roles at Microsoft ?
I want to ask for a pay raise. Other than compiling my accomplishments, what information do I need to prepare or questions I might need to answer?
I am currently an audit associate at a big 4. How hard is it to switch to TAS-FDD / valuations with less than one year of experience or close to one year
Not trying to be provocative, but are the US Entities of each firm generally considered to be the strongest talent wise? At least of the B4 I’ve been at, it felt like the US folks were operating at a higher level. Not even American so not trying to be “ohh omg USA numba onnee”
Why is there such a negative perception of Internal Audit careers? I make 155k with 5yoe and I’m fielding offers for 180k all in. Where did this misperception start and what does everyone now think of internal audit.
I’m changing jobs from consulting to industry. My base salary raise is 8% (they won’t move any higher) but with bonus included it’s a 21% bump. Do you think that’s a good offer?
Hi there. Earlier this year I laid out a business case for why I should get a raise & I asked for a $20-25k annual raise. I got $15k. I found out another person also asked for a raise around the same time. He didn’t give a business case, he just asked;he got the full amount he asked for ($70k). He is more senior than me, has been there longer, & we are not in the same function. However, something is just not sitting right with me about this situation. Any thoughts? Am I just over-analyzing?
Reputable agency in my city, lots of awards and good clients (not global)......vs......global agency, (smaller in my city) weaker clients but a 10k raise.....decisions are hard!!!
Can you fake a job offer for a raise?
Been @ EY a month (frm PWC) as a sr. D wants to bring me in as a M (random LinkedIn post). What salary range should I expect? I said I need 150-175k. Realistic for 7yrs, 4yr consulting non target MBA?
Why do we complain sooooo much. Is that a generation thing (ie our generation complains more?) Did our parents raise us weird? How can we change this mindset because it’s really been weighing on me every where every ones always complaining: friends, coworkers, family, people on tv, Twitter, Fishbowl, tiktok
Am I the only one who doesn't understand why teachers refer to the students as "friends"?
Anyone feel YOE (like 15+) on a resume is a detractor from getting offers at either big tech or late stage startups? I’ve been in this game for a while (mainly govt gigs) and am finding it difficult to break into “big tech.” I want to change lanes from govt to commercial but when I bring up compensation it always feels so contentious, and I really cannot understand why. (Senior level: base 180k, bonus 25k, profit 45k, 100% benefits paid). My experience is dynamic, I haven’t stagnated so to speak
Busy production company in Greenpoint needs a motivated office manager. This is a growth position, and the right candidate will become a production manager in short order. If you are organized...
Weird question but I would like input… I see the Head of a FAANG organization was in the same military unit as me, however years apart from one another. They have “hiring” in their LinkedIn picture and are advertising a role I applied for. Would it be weird to message them asking to connect about that role? I am trying connect with them on a past experience but also show interest in working for them now. Should I reach out directly?
Any tips for a Guidehouse Senior Associate experienced hire interview? Anything I should be preparing for specifically? This is for a position in the healthcare practice, thanks!
I never thought being a mom would be this difficult. I am working full time, have an infant who wakes up every 3-4h and doesn't fall back asleep unless held in arms, am breastfeeding for medical reasons, and feel resentful and beyond tired all the time. I hate the fact that my body is so different to how it was before, that I don't have a sense of self any more, that I can't disconnect and take a break (and this is likely to not change for years to come). Is this normal or unfit to be a mom?
Anyone in this bowl who has moved directly from consulting (or other professional services role) to a c-suite role in the industry? What has been your experience? What have been the lessons learned?
Tips for asking for a salary increase?
How does it look when compared PwC vs Deloitte in terms of travel & other perks. Are there any stringent travel expense rules in PwC like EY?

Did your job change after mat leave? Going on Mat leave soon and manager is thinking of bringing in a new PM to handle my vertical and having me switch to a new one. I work on enterprise connecters currently in the iPaas space and would switch to Platform, which is totally different. On one hand its a good career move & valuable experience that I couldn't interview for without prior experience. On the other, scared to move into a new area outside comfort zone with a new baby and mom brain.
There's a major QSR i recently got an offer for, and someone who interviewed me said I can ask him any questions I had. I noticed he came from consulting and so I'm curious to ask him which industry is better and what the similarities are between this role and consulting. Should I ask him that or is this HR bait?
Are they going to target Visa workers next?
Current MBA, looking to go into product management. I’ve never had product experience and have to choose between a product management internship or a growth & analytics internship. I want to be a good job candidate with experience but... The PM internship’s company doesn’t have the most exciting product, but the founder said he would train me on PM responsibilities. The other company has a cool product, and is heavy on mentoring but i would not be directly involved in PM stuff. Which is better?
