I work at Deloitte Federal. I love Deloitte just not serving federal clients. I’m on the bench with and I’m a recent campus hire with limited exp. What should I do?
You know you're on the bench when you find a bruise on your low chin from where you've been resting your head on your knuckles while browsing the Internet all friggin day
Still on the bench & started a month ago 🙄
Ever snooze near gate while waiting for a 12a redeye only to wake up alone in airport at 1:30 and have to spend the night under a bench at SFO with cleaning staff mopping around your disheveled body?
I am excited to join Deloitte S&O in Los Angeles later this month as a second-year Analyst. Coming from Accenture, how is Deloitte’s staffing model different? What is the bench like realistically?
Does Big four lay off people who are still on engagements? Or wait until they roll off from the current engagements before let them go?
Why does everyone hate staff augmentation? I really miss it 9-5 with an hour lunch and I’m billable for years at a time. I rolled off for a challenge and just want the simple life back.
My offer is on hold because there’s a “deep bench” in AFS in DC area. Both my recruiter and MD are not responding to my inquiries. What do I do now?
When you resign and you happen to be on the bench at that time. After giving two week notice, so you start to tell colleagues that you are leaving and schedule time to catch up with them in groups/ 1:1 (since you have time); or just wait until your last to send out farewell email to inform all the people you’ve interacted with at work?
Hypothetically, if an associate wants to roll off with no new project because they are bored is it reasonable to ask them to eat the hours for a handover ?

I’m struggling, to the point where I completely shut down for the past 2 weeks. My mind is constantly blank when it comes to deliverables.
The existing artefacts are all over the place, with a lot of information residing in people’s heads. This makes it difficult for me to understand the full scope/context.
Speaking to my Lead/PM changes nothing, as they tell me I’m overthinking things, or that everything is fine
One of my BA claims to have great Salesforce experience with configuration, implementation, and intermediate admin skills. I asked him to create a formula field today to conditionally display “Level 1”, “Level 2” or “Level 3” based on very simple criteria on two inputs: client type and service type and he says he needs a day to figure it out. WTF dude this is a simple logic statement setup that takes at most a couple minutes. If you can’t do this shit get back on the bench.
How many months of bench time (on avg) will get someone fired (with above expectation performance in prior projects)? What’s the shortest and longest bench time have you seen? State your firm also.
What are the politics about being rolled off a project? Have been on this client for 6 months and was given a 2 day notice out of nowhere that I am being rolled off. This comes at a natural time in the project I guess - right before a new testing cycle. Manager gave me good feedback and said that they appreciated me, etc. but not sure if that was just to be “nice.” Should I be worried about my standing with the firm/PMD on the project?
Is it okay to just give 1 week notice if you are on bench and not assigned to a project ? Anyone done this ?
The clients like meeee 😋☺️😁
We were told today that trading stocks (and any other single issuer securities) is now prohibited for all investment banking employees. Do other banks have similar restrictions?
