Congratulations are on order regardless. However, if you need I know I great urologist who can help you take care of not expanding the family further

I mean first we have to figure out what the risks are and get all the testing done. But next we have to figure out how we are going to manage this! I’m 45. Was planning to retire in a few years when the kids go to college! Our place isn’t big enough for another kid. Our cars aren’t big enough for another kid. But I really couldn’t be more excited. Need to keep my hopes in check as the chance of miscarriage is like 50% I think

We all figure it out and make it work. You can't go OCD on the planning... you obviously didnt go OCD in "planning" not to get pregnant.

It will be absolutely fine... financially, physically, and parenting.

Congratulations!!!

Life happens and we figure out how to deal with it

I had my first at 41 and second at 46. Wife is 6 years younger. Yes there are risks, but also rewards. Best of luck!

Congrats. Had my last at 41. Hubs was 49. We have a 10 year difference between oldest and youngest. It's worked out well for us so far.

This happened to friends of ours. They’re oldest two are in high school and the youngest is in 4th grade. Seems to have worked out fine with them. It’s crazy to have a 9 yo with a senior and sophomore

Yeah. When I would see that, I’d always think. How did that happen this day and age :)

Congratulations are definitely in order first. Best of luck!

Huge congrats... I wish I had one more!! :)

CONGRATULATIONS! Hope all will go well. In my mid-40s and just had a baby a few months ago and it’s so great!!!

And I’m thinking I may want another one...

Wow congrats and thanks for the congrats! All seems to be going well. We are having genetic testing next week. Did you all do that?

like

Yes, we did genetic testing for sure. You want to be prepared and know in case you have chromosomal abnormalities and decide where to go from there. Also be prepared to go to a high-risk doctor for regular check-ups. I enjoyed the many ultrasounds and opportunities to hear the heart beat a lot more frequently than just regular OB visits. Good luck and hope genetic testing will go well.

Congratulations!

Isn’t it nice to have a choice though ?

What do you mean?

Just what I said. It’s obvious that you are going to keep the baby Congratulations!
