Hi everyone! New to the bowl. I have major ADHD, and have been on and off medicine. Although the medicine (adderal) helps me, I get VERY moody, mean, and easily irritated. I get so mean and moody that my boyfriend and I almost break up every time. Any suggestions on how to deal with this side effect while on adderal?

Meds and GMAT exam performance: I feel smarter, more time-conscious and aware off meds during an exam. 3 questions: 1. Should I take meds daily to revise effectively before GMAT? 2. Should I take them during the exam itself? 3. If I shouldn’t take it during exam, when or how should I wean off of it? 2 days before etc?

Anyone else prefer short acting meds? Which ones? The long acting stuff just strings me out for a long time rather than creating long periods of focus.

I’ve been seeing a therapist for anxiety and depression (no medication). It’s been helpful, but my issues persist. After some more research, I realized that both can be connected to ADHD. Im pretty high functioning, but definitely resonate with some of the symptoms. Any stories or thoughts from you all?

Does anyone have experience with non-stimulant medication? I’ve had bad anxiety from Adderall in the past and I don’t know what to ask for when I see my doc.

When I was diagnosed, I struggled to find any info out there on adults and workplace etc. Thinking of setting up just a blog space for people’s stories, anonymously.
