I saw this article in a page I’m learning through from mynea360.org As someone learning to recognize my own white fragility in order to build racial literacy skill & stamina for a sustainable future, I found it very worthwhile. She doesn’t end on a cheerleading note. For support, I see anti-racism addressed in my health care plan (‘mystrength’ app...stress/ ‘you need to have that conversation’) as well as within anti-discrimination online trainings and state & national union webinars. https://educationpost.org/if-you-really-want-to-make-a-difference-in-black-lives-change-how-you-teach-white-kids/
Adapt and evolve to remote working - way more PRODUCTIVE, EFFECTIVE and EFFICIENT. No wasted time on commutes, non-sensical open-floor distractions and now more rested body and mind. Time management and mental health strategies are key.
Received MBB offer, which I’m very grateful for. I have a medical degree with some work experience. I want to stay in healthcare. I like pharma/biotech, provider systems but also early stage healthcare investing. Certainly open to consulting long term. Few Qs: is the promotion pipeline any different for advanced degree folks? What sort of exit opps would be available to someone like me post MBB? Would my skill set/knowledge base be uniquely sought after, or not really? Thank you for your help!
Serious question: Why’d we have to migrate our network logins to FCB Health in addition to our emails? Couldn’t we have just started listing our emails as “@fcbhealth” but logging in as “@FCB”? Our old emails instantly forward to our current ones, so I don’t see why it couldn’t be the other way.
Unpopular opinion: I don’t think Simone Biles should step down from competing because she took the spot on the team from other qualified individuals who would kill to compete. There - I said it. Before you come for me, I respect her mental health and understand why she is not competing, but at the end of the day she took a spot from someone who had been training and would kill to represent the US at the Olympics. I get the pressure is on, but step down before to let someone else take your place
Dk where this belongs but do any of you have life insurance policies on your parents? If so, how did you approach your parents?
Leave a secure but underpaid, full time, toxic af job or go freelance and get the title bump at and indie agency? Healthcare etc scares the $hit out of me
Left NYC because of covid, but current living situation is becoming toxic to my mental health. Is it worth risking it to fly back to NYC?
This article is a good read in terms of how to handle the COVID-19 crisis: https://blog.shrm.org/blog/promoting-workplace-mental-health-in-the-age-of-covid-19
16 weeks and so worried all of the stress I’m under is going to hurt the baby. Between work, my own scary (non-pregnancy) health stuff, the pandemic, my mom (who is a widow and lives alone, basically isolated by choice due to covid) is having health issues, and pressures to keep billable hours up, I’ve been having complete breakdowns. Today I spent almost the entire day crying and now have to make up the billable time this weekend. I really worry abt what effect this will have on the babe.
Therapy is so expensive even with insurance. Just tapped into my emergency fund because I really need therapy.
Just got the vaccine by driving 3 hours to Fresno from the SF Area. I hadn't been able to get an appt in Santa Clara Co. despite having a Tier 1c health condition. I made the appointment online yesterday, when I saw that almost every pharmacy in Fresno had at least a dozen appointments open every day this week. I feel a bit guilty for going out of area to get it, even though I was honest about my address. Why is Fresno swimming in vaccine when it's impossible to get in the Bay Area?
Anyone have any experience with short term disability? Is it tough to get it for mental health reasons?
Have you ever asked for reasonable accommodations at work for your mental health? What did you ask for and why?
I’d be curious for peoples thoughts on permanent life insurance. We’re early 30s, 2 kids. We can very likely comfortably afford the big up front investment for the next 15 years or so. It feels like putting the money to work in equities is a better play but don’t want to write this off if it’s worth it. Right now I’d say our net worth is around 1.5 with 55% equities. 30% home equity, 10% preferreds, 5% cash.
Does anyone have experience in getting a letter form their primary care for “weight loss counseling” and /or “health club membership fees” to make it FSA eligible? I’m not awfully overweight but from a technical BMI perspective can stand to lose a few lbs and would like to use FSA if this wouldn’t be a huge hassle
Wait so at Deloitte do you have to use your corporate card to pay for hotels or can you use your personal to get points?
Has anyone made the transition from a B4 to MBB after not making it through in bschool? (I’d love to chat) I don’t have any specialized knowledge but looking to transition to strategy consulting from a more tech consulting role
If the intern asks how late I stayed last night I’m going to tell him. If the manager has a problem with that they can figure out how to staff an engagement so I don’t have to stay until 3:00am.

If you apply to MBB with some experience (1.5-2 years) and start at an entry level position, do you get paid the same as campus hires or more? If more, how much?
"I have no idea what it's like to have my life circumstances affected by my race or gender but listen up because I've got a really important take about discrimination"
Is an MBA worth it?
Anyone from ZS company ? Want to know about how many rounds of interview is there for software testing. What if I clear all rounds then how they will offer? Currently my CTC is 4.5LAP n I'm holding one offer of 8.5LAP.
Been wanting to relocate to Chicago from Dallas and started applying back in March. I’m starting to get discouraged after each final round rejection. Big sigh
~$180k in student debt for $145k salary at 28 doing what you like (strategy consulting). Worth it? Is that salary good enough to handle the debt while still being able to prep for having a family?
Anyone know where to find consistent, decent indoor pickup runs for basketball in the city? For post-covid obv, but wanted to start thinking about a gym that wouldn’t break the bank. Thanks!
For people on an H1B visa, are there any good resources to figure out if I can invest in a Roth IRA and other investing 101s for people on a visa? (From india so not getting my GC anytime soon)
Received an offer from Facebook for a program manager role. However, I’d like to get an MBA down the line. Is Facebook a negative in apps given bad press, positive because FAANG, or neutral?
Applying for an in-house job. Should I put title like Super Lawyer Rising Star on my resume?
Has anyone gone on maternity or paternity leave while going up for promotion in the same year that is willing to share story or any impact?
I’ve been feeling really down about my job lately. Last night I randomly applied for a job at EY-P that I thought I perfectly fit the bill for. Within 12 hours I was reached out from a recruiter and was asked to schedule an interview. Even if it doesn’t go much farther It feels like the confidence boost I needed to know there are other options out there for me.
Anyone have any experience working for Connor Group? I received an offer from them but wanted to get some input on compensation, culture, etc.
Are MBB referral bonuses large?
