Hello All,
I have recently joined FIS Global around end of April. My mother recently met with an accident and she needs to be operated.
I haven't been able to update the anything regarding the insurance part yet on FIS portal.
Will my mother's treatment be covered under the insurance? If yes, what's the procedure for the same? What are the documents that I need to submit in order to claim the amount?
Can anyone please guide?
Can anyone suggest a spa/massage spot?

Treat it like you’re suiting up for a zombie apocalypse. Cardboard on your arms, chest padding, secure all with duct tape...and maybe a football helmet just in case. 🥸 But seriously, no ponytails or dangling earrings.
Unfortunately no, it isn’t classified as necessary just personal choice.

Padded bras can save your chest when a student bites. I had it happen with an elementary child when I worked elementary special education.
Memory foam Sketchers! Your feet will thank you! From one BD teacher to another..sending good thoughts!!
Old navy pixie pants are amazing! I can run in them almost as well as I run in regular leggings and they are cheap! Definitely agree with padded bras! I also have a lanyard I found on Amazon that breaks apart when pulled and that has been amazing!
I can only wear New Balance sneakers without my feet hurting. As for clothes, program teachers at my school can wear jeans every day so I do. They block the scratching kids have tried to do when they’re grabbing my legs.

I actually created a uniform for myself - a few pair of khakis, comfortable, flat, rugged shoes (but not sneakers as they didn’t protect my toes from being stomped well enough), polo shirts, my work earrings and no purse or handbag, just a small wallet, classroom keys and badge. I also bought sensory stuff for students - ear plugs, sensory balls, etc for deescalation. I made self-regulation and social skills/communication practice a structured part of the day to teach those skills. I also modeled it all day long. I think I avoided a lot of meltdowns and physical manifestations of stress and lack of communication. I was eventually able to wear cute clothes again before the end of the school year. 😊
Long sleeve t-shirts. I used to layer up. It helps with the pinching, biting and scratching. Jeans worked best for me and comfortable running shoes that I could maneuver in easily. I agree with person above in having items on hand to help de-escalate. Also, I always was aware of my physical positioning, tone of voice and facial expressions. Sometimes I was able to diffuse a situation just by monitoring my own body language. Good luck.
