OP I'm pretty sure I read some today that states have too excess testing capacity. Have you been listening to sound bites only?
Even network has more testing that needed at this time..
Just do a quick Google.
So PWC what do we need? Honestly curious
If you’re allowed to go to Home Depot I think the lake house owners ought to be allowed to leave the cities and isolate in their lake houses that they own, pay property taxes on, and thereby support the local-seasonal economies. I think a fair compromise is prohibiting rentals to third parties.

You and people like you will be wrong again
Your mask will not save you. It is a delaying tactic, nothing more. You will get Covid. Everyone will get Covid. 99.5% will survive, but we will all get it.

Wait for treatment and a vaccine? They may never arrive...
The quicker we get it the quicker we can move on. It’s not going anywhere.

Getting it and recovering from it doesn’t necessarily make you immune. That’s the problem. And there are reports of chronic health issues as a result of getting it. There’s very little known about this virus.

I am hoping otherwise but fear this will be the case.

You’re gonna get it eventually. Just a matter of how soon.
My state has a ton of testing capacity and is telling long term care workers to come get tested weekly and anyone else who wants it can be tested... sooooooo
It’s a shitty extension of your argument because they think it violates our rights to mandate testing. Doing mandatory testing would be extremely difficult because pretty much all of the nurses, PAs, NPs, etc. who would be called in for local flu shots were all called in to hospitals. There is not a plethora of medical staff to be dispersed for mass testing. Additionally would be a massive under taking by testing facilities.
All this being said, I think this has to be done in some format, even if it takes all summer. It’s the only way we can trace how many people have had it, do have it, where it’s been, where it’s going. Maybe your state is “fine” and the testing proves it, but what if we find out Georgia is riddled with the virus. Wouldn’t you like to know before you take a road trip up there? It’s useful information that can save lives
If 80-100% of people in the US wore a mask or some type of face covering, we'd lower the infection rate significantly. But no, people don't like to be told that because somehow it violates their civil rights.

As a Jewish person I’m all about avoiding the missteps of the past that led to the Holocaust, but I’m not sure marking Jews and shoving them in pogroms is equivalent to asking people to cover their mouth for a few months...
