Ok I’m curious, how unlikely is it to get a job overseas? Like, I live in the US and wanted to apply to some sort of SC or SE role in Asia, would I just be most likely automatically declined, or would there be an international tech company that supports hiring someone who would move overseas for the role?

Also I’m sure there are some companies out there who might do it, but overall is it just very unlikely? Has anyone else done this and what was your experience?

Deel might be able support that.

A while back, I used to work for a Chinese teaching company as an ESL teacher for a few years. I worked remotely...I thought that was surprising considering that most teachers (at that time) would have never considered working remote.

So, I do think there is a chance of you finding a firm that will take you on as an international remote hire. That's said, I think your chances of finding such firm would be significantly increased if you teamed up with an international recruiting firm.

I have been looking at the curriculums for Harvard Business School's Master of Business Administration and Harvard Extension School's Master's in Management. They both have the same requirements, generally speaking, including a field immersion course that serves as a capstone in the Master's in Management, which is fairly new. If I am not able to gain admission to Harvard Business School, but wanted a similar educational experience to become a consultant, should I attend Harvard Extension?

Just venting:::
I had a interview for Human resources assistant position yesterday and while screening me. The lady mentioned that the position has already been filled as of yesterday but they still want to continue my screening for the future. I told her that we can continue if there are similar job opportunities open which there is another position but it has "ALSO" been filled as of today. I was just so irritated. I feel like it was just a waste of my time if I decided to going forward.

Curious what’s a fair salary in MA? Was just told that there is likely not going to be a chance for a raise during my upcoming performance review due to my salary already being “above average for the industry” based on my employer’s questionable research. I’ve been with the company 8.5 years & am the only one in my role, which they can’t operate without. I execute tasks from two investment advisors and two financial planners - they make the decisions of what should happen & I make it happen.

1. Getting over the nerves that are as a result of taking a risk (I am late 30's)
2. The guilt of leaving a role where I have an amazing working relationship with all my colleagues and my boss

Any tips would be appreciated as I am a mess of nerves!!

I’m in the NYC Men Teach program and I’m looking for a teaching position in early childhood special education to start working in September. Does anyone know a school that is hiring in Queens?

I was recently promoted to a new position at my company. I'm so excited to be taking on this new challenge, but it's not going as well as I had hoped.

I've been given a lot of responsibilities, which is great. But I don't feel like any of them are being prioritized or delegated appropriately. I'm getting a lot of pressure from my manager, who is quite demanding and doesn't seem to understand that I need time to get things done and learn new skills.

This may be an unpopular opinion.

But I think it's kinda shitty that when FAANG people get laid off, everyone feels bad for them and they get so many resources to get rehired, but the same is not true for people that get laid off at smaller lesser known organizations.

Like those FAANG people will be fine, they got generous severance packages. The people who actually need help often get overlooked or are forgotten.

No idea about team/culture/stability differences yet.

The non-work factors I'm debating are:
1. Cost-of-living (housing!). Could probably afford a nice ~$1.25M SFH in Seattle suburbs sooner than a fair $1.5-2M near Cupertino.
2. Public School quality. Unsure private will be affordable.
3. Weather/region: activities
