What would you do? I was recently reached out to by an exec I worked for at another agency. He’s at a new agency and looking for an EA to assist him, the new president and another exec. However the agency itself is not doing well- no new biz wins, big layoffs recently, terrible reviews on Glassdoor. I like my current agency enough, however, very much don’t like the 2 execs I assist. Would you go rather work for good execs at a bad agency? Or stay at a decent agency but awful execs?

Indirectly told I'll be passed up for promotion because i switched firms and started in August (last year), but at the same time get praised for my technical knowledge and work ethic. 😠

I plan to lateral to another firm in the same area of law (insurance defense, south FL). The pay at this new firm is better with prospects of becoming partner, or at least growing with the firm. My current firm is a mess. I know they will be an even bigger mess when I leave, but I just can’t take it anymore. The thing is—my boss is wonderful. Feeling that my brain has been on “auto pilot” mode for years. I am Principal in one of the top consulting firms, promoted on fast track basis, so have not been “lazy” and doing good at work. But everything feels the same, nothing gets me intellectually stimulated anymore, and now I feel like if the trend continues, I might lose my ability to adapt and learn new things altogether.
