I’m so sorry that happened to you! I would go to your administration if you feel comfortable and share your concerns. Ask to schedule a meeting with your principal or AP during your planning time and they should take care of it for you. Your team lead should absolutely not be taking things from you or putting hands on you.

Physical contact is not ok. I would go through your protocol in your district for lodging a complaint against them.
have her ass arrested for assault because that is what it was. No one gets to push you or hit you ever. Unless of course you will allow it. I would press charges child or adult but most especially adult. Do yall have cameras
Sounds like someone’s lookin to get cut

When she touched you, you should have told her to get her hands off of you. Now be prepared. Next time she tries to do something, you need to stand up for yourself and set your boundaries. She tries to grab your phone, tell her no in a firm voice. Train her like you would train a dog. She can only demean you if you allow it.

Sounds to me like your team lead has control issues. I would tell her that if she treats you like a child again, or pushes you, there will be consequences, period. This is not acceptable at all.

TX, Sounds like you know what a team leader should do, and not do. To bad your team leader didn’t get the message of what the job really entails. Unfortunately or not, I’d be just the person to tell her how it’s done. Talk with your other team members. Sometimes it helps to have some mutiny to teach a fellow teacher what their role actually is. Lol.
I feel terrible for you. It sounds like your team needs to sit down and talk about this. I appreciate the fact that my team can have hard conversations without taking it personally. That’s how a team should work. Maybe show your team leader the responses from this thread.

I agree w the outrage. Consult your union president. It can’t hurt.

Pressing charges does seem over the top but putting hands on another person is just plain unacceptable and wrong!
Butting In is rude but doesn’t call for anything but a simple “mind your own business”. Someone who lays hands on you over it is out of control. Check policy and talk to your admin. ASAP.
Apparently audacity is at an all time high. But, I don’t understand how your colleague could possibly think that her actions are acceptable. You butting into the conversation did not warrant her actions. You need to make it crystal clear; that you will not tolerate her foolishness & demeaning behavior. If you continue to allow it, the situation will only get worse.

Is this a teacher or admin doing this? I hate it when teacher leaders try to boss me around. The district likes to have TOSAs do their dirty work because we can't grieve another teacher.
That is strange. In our district we could file charges against a teacher.
File a grievance
Not ok! Report it because she’s testing your boundaries- do it quick!
I will be honest. I would have probably taken a swing. Please don’t do that but do find a way to not victimize yourself. You say you were “butting in” but if they if they were there talking you were not butting in.
Some of the suggestions like pressing charges just really seem over the top. How about respecting each other as colleagues and don’t butt in any more.
