As a content marketer…Content ppl on LinkedIn is the worst. The whole: i saw a dead cat the other day and it reminded me of this blog i wrote…OMG NO. SHUT UP. Not *everything* is content. Idk. Maybe that’s why they’re successful and I’m not. I refuse to live like that lol.

Hi all! I've go an offer for a position as an SRE at Google in Dublin. Even though I'll be losing some base salary, and a level from where I am at Microsoft, I'm considering moving. However, I was hoping somebody working at Google in Dublin could share which benefits you have to compare with (currently at Microsoft we have health insurance, life insurance, pension plan, subsidized meals).
Also, does anybody know if Google Dublin pays for the on call?

As someone who doesn’t formally celebrate any holidays in December, I find politically correct holiday messages so cringe/awkward. I would rather you just say Merry Christmas/Happy Hanukkah or whatever it is you celebrate and move on. Someone singled me out during a meeting and said

“happy holiday season [my name] if you celebrate anything…I actually don’t know if you celebrate anything but if you don’t celebrate anything then enjoy this off season at work for the next two or so weeks…”

I need to get this out there. Unless you literally work as an actually model (wannabe instagram influencer doesn’t count)/actor/ actress, there is no reason why your LinkedIn profile picture should look like a high school senior photo wanna-be-glam shot.

Okay there are posts that are cringe and then their are people genuinely proud and want to share their accomplishments. Let’s not act like their story or accomplishment is nothing. Not everyone walks the same shoes. That being said, agree?
