One partner is driving me insane. I CANNOT work with him. We are far enough in the case that it would take a lot of time for someone to take over for me but still early enough that the case will be going for another 2 years. Hi all! Staff Attorney who was hired to do something very specific at a BL firm. My manager has been very restrictive in what I’m allowed to do for fear that it’ll get in the way of my speciality work, even though all the partners and associates love me and are always asking me to work on deals with them. Because it’s been slow my hours have been down and my manager is back tracking and saying that I can do whatever I want. What do I when it comes to review time?

Some partners are so stupid. In a free market system, if you want the good associate to work for you, you need to be a nice person. Otherwise, I have enough partners to feed me work and you’re the source of your own problem.

Law schools in Toronto - I am currently working as a Senior Auditor at EY & finished my CPA modules in less than 12 months & successfully passed CFE, September 2021 (Fasttrack) while working full time.
