Okay - good books to read when trying to self educate? Want to learn more about investing, economics(engineer here-plz be kind), and statistics! ☺️

For any of you real estate investors, what tools or sources did you learn from when getting started. Can’t find a mentor currently so want to find some highly recommended books or videos. If focused on the tri-state area (NY, NJ, Long Island mainly) that would be even better. My hope is to buy and rent out a apartment while also owning a house and house hacking that by renting part of it out. Trying to understand all the steps, traps, and how to find if it’s a good investment.

What are some good books for learning about finance? I don't know almost anything about the stock market, investing, managing money etc.

For those that invested in real estate rentals, how did you systematically approach finding a good property? Realized most of my stock investments was just gambling and I don’t want to gamble on a RE investment. Read a few books but none of them go into how to actually find a good deal/city.

Ladies, I agreed to get take on a project with a hybrid travel schedule but after kicking it off, my SM is expecting a lot more travel than a few workshops. Full 3 nights, some back to back weeks, and every 3 weeks for sure. He’s also expecting co-location in between… how did we get here overnight?
