i wouldn’t recommend airpods for calls if you use teams, i always have issues and heard from someone that airpods are just incompatible with teams

Love love my AirPods. I use teams on my cellphone. And then add my laptop as a device. I love it I love it. Probably best decision I made in work upgrades

Individuality. You don’t need to look exactly like everyone else. Don’t spend a bunch of money on clothes and suit cases that you don’t need to afford. Build wealth not clout.

Jabra speaker with built in mic because WFH
If you dont want a mic, get the jabra evolve line up. They have ANC, and drown out noise significantly better than Airpods. I used them at an airport and the client couldn't hear any background noise. Make sure theyre rated for UC (unified comms). These work the best with apps like teams, zoom, etc.

Everything else is optional because travel is rare now🤪... at least for tech consulting. At the most, a button down and jacket for calls with execs. But will probably be in a tshirt/hoodie and shorts for regular calls.

its all client dependent. A lot of tech work i've seen come in have been remote.

Jabra elite 75t > airpods pro

like

On what aspects? Is the noice cancelling really better? What's most important to me is that the countering party can hear me well. My Sony xm2 over ear suck on that..

Windows doesn’t work well with bluetooth headphones. I like airpods pro a lot but use my phone for audio during teams meetings. Just something to take into consideration

like

Well that sucks. I don't wanna bother using my phone and then connect with the laptop also when I have to share.

Second what was said above, airpods don’t work super well with windows, but easy hack to get around that is use your phone for audio and connect airpods to your phone

Sony XM3 and AirPod pros
Tumi backpack for travel and functionality
Fossil briefcase for style
Bose portable speaker for hotel room
Good suitcase (Tumi, Rimowa, or even Samsonite)
Snacks and packable jacket
Portable monitor for client sites and hotel

like

Okay, thanks!

Haha Jesus I hope to get peripherals on the client site or my employer will pay for this. I'm definitely not getting it up front. Thanks though for letting me know that this exists :D

Looking at exits into pharma and biotech. Have an opp at a biotech at the SM level. Total comp excluding equity is around $190k; RSUs vest over 4 years with annual refreshers, so first year equity would be around $6,200 and it would go up by $6,200 each of the next 3 years, plus whatever base bump I get. Very good benefits package.

They envision 2-3 years before I jump either to AD or right to D. Solid opp? Or hold out to go straight to director level?

Hey guys,
I’m working at Management Solutions in my Rome since I have the desire to work abroad I sent my CV around the Europe.
Deloitte called me from Barcelona to schedule an interview with the HR.
The position is in the accounting sector of Deloitte DBS. They told me that the base salary (I’m an entry level) is 18k per year. In Rome I’m actually earning 28k+1k bonus.
Anyone knows why there’s such a great gap in salary? Tomorrow I’ll have the interview so any comments could be helpful. Thx

Hello all! I was reached out by Publicis Sapient for their Technology Strategy Consulting team and by Capco. Does anyone know what's the work life balance/pay at both of these firms? I am currently at EY under tech consulting making 90K a year in NYC with 1.5 YOE Staff 2 but I do feel I am feeling a bit burnt out at EY. I was wondering if I should wait until I hit Senior then start recruiting with the Senior title or just start recruiting now. Thanks!

I got a full time offer from the company I interned at this summer. However, I have been applying and interviewing at various consulting firms so far. Some of them I won’t hear back until September/October. Is it wrong to accept the offer and then reject it if I get a better offer? I don’t wanna burn a bridge with this company since I really enjoyed my experience there but I have to be smart with my decision since I graduate in December and need an earlier work start date.
