Okay, I have a new problem and need help. So thank you to all those who provided app recommendations to me in the past. Right now, I’m using my fitness pal to track food intake. I’ve significantly changed my diet the past 2 weeks. The amount of food I need to consume to hit the calorie intake is mind blowing. I’m doing intermittent fasting too. I feel very full trying to hit 1600 calories in 8 hours. It’s even more when working out according to the app. What do you recommend? Eat less?

Lift. Lift again. And lift more. Count your macros. High protein, moderate fat, low carbs (doesn’t have to be as low as Keto). Add almond butter to protein smoothies if you need more calories (just don’t try to hit the calorie goal by eating junk food).

I strictly record my food intake ~6 days a week and allow myself one day to be lazy.

Source: lost 35 pounds in 8 months and kept it off 5 years.

Do not make the mistakes of all these other people, when they cut calories. They mess up their metabolism.

The goal is to eat more calories and let your body burn those calories as you gain muscle

If you’re trying to lose weight, don’t add back in the work out cals.

Yes, definitely focused on losing weight but also want to get strength back up too but not bulk. Okay, I won’t add them back in.

I just started my third trimester and recently fractured one of my molars while eating soft fries (not sure how), but I had a root canal done on that tooth years ago so the tooth is actually a crown. Having trouble losing weight and looking for suggestions. My standard caloric amount to maintain weight is about 2k (male/36/185lbs). Been eating at a 500 calorie deficit daily, so around 1500 calories a day, but I have very little energy to lift much weight at all when I go to the gym. Appreciate any practical recommendations, maybe eat more on days I workout? I'm just worried that having higher calories on my workout days and less when I rest could mess up my metabolism even more.

This is more about staying mentally healthy but for those who work at places with unlimited pto, how much do you take? I used to get 20 days per year but would obviously accrue days back with each paycheck so I’d take a bit more than that. Does anyone know why I lose more weight when I eat 2000 calories vs when I eat 1200 calories? For reference, I am currently 5’7 F and 128 lbs. I cannot work out for another month due to an expiring CPA exam so I am definitely losing muscle mass.

When I calorie count, I account for every little thing such as the vegetable oils or the tbs of salt. The 1200 calories is usually an extremely large meal + fruits + soup. The 2000 calories is usually a meal from a restaurant + fruits + a sandwich.

I started usimg a standing desk, and now my calf muscles, ankles and knees are really sore. This is bizarre because I have been running a lot over the past 4 months, and have been an avid hiker and backpacker. I was struggling to even look at myself in the mirror since this is the heaviest I’ve been. I went back working out at least 4 times a week and eating very healthy. I obviously haven’t lost any weight yet but today was the first time I could look at myself at the mirror without feeling grossed. Felt like freedom in some way 🥲

Wondering if anyone struggles with a similar problem I do - I was a volleyball player/serious athlete from 10 until I finished playing my senior year of college. I then worked as a full time volleyball coach/assistant director of operations for a super competitive club in south Florida. I changed career paths for stability and money increase, but now I find when I’m super stressed at work I avoid the gym. I normally go 4-6 days per week and consider it an outlet, but now seems to add stress.
