Okay, I seriously love the group I’m in - audit. Very happy. Could do it for life. Genuinely. Interacting with another group (advisory) - they’ve really come to like me. I got an unsolicited interview

What level are you? I too wanted to switch from audience to advisory in the same manner. This went all the way up to a senior manager and partner on the advisory side. Conversations and interviews later, they wanted me, but assurance was reluctant to let go due to client need. Even with partner approval on both sides, it still got turned down. Moral of the story: you won't be let go without a fight. Be adamant about what you want. Like mentioned above, there is never a good time for you to leave.

Just be open with your RP and Coach about where you are at, what you want, and why. The more candid and honest the better. Treat the conversations like you are trying to make the best career decision for yourself and seeking to make them apart of the conversation. From there, make sure you make this 100% about you and what you want (not things external to yourself) then it gives them less chance to refute or argue your points. No one can tell you how to feel. Keep it personal. Lastly, timing is never perfect so don’t worry about that and the work will always get done with or without you. Therefore, don’t feel guilty in navigating this or leaving people and work behind. The worst reason to make a decision is for someone other than ourselves. You are in the drivers seat of your career. Hit the gas.

Offer. I converted it down to informational. Immediately talking about how if things progressed what would be the best path to honor the division I’m in, first. All being said, a lot of my misconceptions within this area of advisory have been challenged. I do now want to switch. With an informational chat down, I’ll now have an interview with an advisory manager. A resume was provided. The talks are now more themed - you making the best career decision for yourself. From the outgoing division side, how can I best and most professionally navigate this? I have zero ill-will or dissatisfaction. The opportunity genuinely lays out like something that can’t be refused. An area that only MBAs will be entering soon.

You have done the difficult part. In PA you have to get the offer first, which you have done. With respect to your team, you need to understand that you are the only one that has your best interest. Make that move if that’s what you want, communicate when the time is right.

like

Just tell them you are very grateful or the opportunity and that it’s been a pleasure, but that you found another role in the firm paying significantly more money and you can’t pass it up

I don’t know when will they even do my background check... I don’t want to miss an opportunity with Deloitte.

Last night's buy at 3096 goes 1.5 points over the objective that I called last night in Europe. There were two HWB long buying opportunities last night. New Target 3159.25 probably hit in today's NY session. We are trading Micro HWB's right now. Basically, we are goin to hit new highs and create a potential double top situation. Be careful being long at that new objective. If it's a dip into new highs situation, we could sell off violently, like we did yesterday. Bullish Above 3126.
