Honestly you need to break to lease and find a new place both of you guys. That’s the best option. Clean slate for both of you. Even if you kick him out It’ll take him time to find a new place usually about a month. At least you’re never home and can just alt travel to not see him there while he’s home. Also, be very clear in why you are separating, since you’re living together. however he’s on the lease he legally has the right to live there.
Who is on the lease? That’s the real problem. In my situation I broke the lease and got my own new place.
How to make a break up and make him move out? I am little soft and feel bad but at the same time I want my freedom and want this to end. Never had this situation before...
I've been in a similar situation before, I felt really sorry for my ex (he was a genuinely nice person) and specifically ended our relationship right before I went on vacation for two weeks with my best friend. The trip had been planned well in advance, but the timing gave him the time to find a new place to stay. Maybe break up on a Sunday, right before you leave, so he has until Thursday to process and move out?
ATK1 you’re my hero - I was in the exact same situation but stayed way too long and now am trying to get my life back 🙃
Both of us on the lease. I can take over the payments and all that’s not an issue.
Just curious. Was it expensive to broke out of the lease?
Also, just curious too, did you initiate a break up or he/she did?
He initiated breakup but it was mutual. It was a months worth of rent to break, so worth it for me.
