Any advice on how to play this? I met with someone in my practice area at a firm 6 months ago. There’s now a posting for position that is perfect for me. Should I reach back out to that person and ask for a referral since we already met and the conversation went well? Or should I reach out just to ask for another coffee meeting without mentioning the opening?

I took the exit opp with Amazon from KPMG. It may not be the exit I wanted but atleast it’s the exit I needed.

Our senior creative leadership keep talking about winning Cannes Lions and D&AD pencils but none of them have actually won any since 2007 (that’s 14 years 😭 ) and between all three of them they’ve never won more than a couple of silvers, a couple of bronzes and a couple of in-books (that’s with a combined experience of over 60 years 😭). The average pay for an NHS nurse is £35k. It is a well known fact that this wage is difficult to live on. Whereas London agencies pay experienced staff in and around this wage. Wages haven’t really increased in the last 20 years. Why is our industry so underpaid?
