Welcome to teachers who Cricut! Right now I’m doing a classroom theme for the first time and attempting to make a whole bunch of tropical flowers to go along with my jungle theme! I found this tutorial and it’s been super helpful but I’m having a hard time with some of the different types because the blade keeps shredding my card stock with some of the designs!!! https://jennifermaker.com/cricut-paper-flowers/ here’s what I have so far:

Hi everyone!!! Last year I put together a list of classrooms to exchange valentines with! We mailed 1 valentine to each class and included a picture if we could, and a few things about where we live and things we do!
I currently have 13 classes signed up! The more the merrier!!
We have classes CA, WI, PA, KS, TX, RI, MI, Canada, New Zealand.
I have a form to fill out if you are interested! I will email everyone the list probably at the end of the week if not sooner!

If I have 21 RSUs vesting may 21 but another job offer (not from a FAANG but from a Series D SaaS), could I ask new company to “buy out” my RSUs? They want me to start May 1 so I can go on a company trip end of May. What are options people have tried? I don’t want to stay at Amazon until May 23 because will miss the trip with my new company and not have any time off in between jobs (I’m burnout). Amazon
I hope this bowl will be more active this year 🥳

Definitely set up an Amazon wishlist to share with your family and friends! You’d be surprised how many people are willing to donate!
Purchase your own laminator and laminator sheets from Amazon. They’re great for things that need to be laminated quickly!
This is important if you want handouts or other materials that you use for more than one student! Lamination helps the paper from getting messed up, and you can always use the sheets again the next year!
I have one of those wall mounted automatic hand sanitizer machines in my class and it will change your life no matter what grade level you’ll be teaching...
Also, don’t feel pressured to make your room “Pinterest Perfect”. I’d recommend The Space by Robert Dillon, to help get some ideas for working with what you’ve got. It’s a quick read and probably at your nearest B&N 😉😉
What grade level?
You need to find out what your school already has and what’s permitted and what’s not. For example, we cannot have hand sanitizer out for student use because it’s a health code violation. Also our school has a commercial laminator...
The space suggestion is a good one. Keep in mind that it’s the students classroom and space. Our job is to facilitate and organize within that space.
This year I got rid of all of “my” stuff except for my coffee pot. Even my teacher desk was out. It’s amazing how much more kids were able to do and use without my things in the way
Some GoodWills have school supply overstock from stores like Walmart and Kmart, and they will sell these items for a reduced price.
Use clear page protectors for cheap whiteboards.
If students start using too many of your pencils, and they don’t return them, use golf pencils- they are cheap and kids don’t want to keep them.
