OW CFA is growing like crazy and OW has a better brand than Big4 (even their strategy arms)

I do mean HAS! D is right next to S on the keyboard 🤣 Thanks for pointing out OW3! Edited!

Have a very close friend (same b-school, same class, so similar levels in career) who works in EYP strategy. I think the biggest difference in our firms is quality of people. He is surrounded by what he calls “average people”, and I feel like I am surrounded by people whom I get to learn a lot from. Of course, there are outliers on either side in both firms, but I am referring to average quality

EYP2 - for better or worse, size does matter from a brand reputation perspective. There may exist a number of houtique strategy consulting firms with cooler / smarter people than MBB, but from the perspective of someone evaluating a prospective job offer from one of those vs. MBB, and knowing that 6 out of 7 consultants leave the profession before making it to Partner, the brand reputation (which is at least partially determine by size) does matter. .... but leave that aside and let’s go with your argument, and try to normalize for scale. OW is part of a public company (MMC) and it is about $1.8Bn in global revenue per MMC’s SEC filings. How much smaller is EYP globally, and how many C-suite execs can you name who are EYP alumni?

OW for brand name imo. Not sure work/project-wise.

OW but, of course, I’m biased

Would choose OW

I honestly will go with EYP based on our campaigning over OW since I'm biased over the past year. Previous to that would've been OW... I'm biased too

This is the only objective answer

What do you want to do afterwards? Or are you planning on staying in consulting. That will be determinative

Go for OW. I'm working for neither of these firms but I have friends working at OW and EYP. For OW: + Better reputation + More well-rounded experience + Faster promotions + People are of higher caliber (nuances) + Much stronger than EYP in other GEOs (Europe, ME) + International projects/ global staffing model (could be a plus or minus depending on your preferences, CFA probably does not travel as much anyway) - Does not do as many DDs as EYP in the US (but I'm sure OW still does plenty) For EYP: + More DDs + Large Big4 network providing lots of support - Reputation watered-down due to all those integrations - You can never know to which degree Parthenon will stay separate (development of S& vs. Monitor) Traying to be as objective as possible.

How are these three groups different in terms of exits to PE, corporate strategy, or tech? Again I am not in FS.

Honest question. When a client asks you a question that you need to refer to the billing attorney (assume it makes sense to do so and copy the client on convo in adding them in) are you all refraining from using the term billing attorney to clarify a role or is it pretty common to do so in client communications? Had one attorney show a sensitivity to the term but never had that happen before. Wondering if that is a common or uncommon sinsitivity?

Feel like there’s conflating between the optimism people feel about reopening and return to work. By going to restaurants and ballgames, I choose to accept the consequences for my own enjoyment. It’s not the same tradeoff asking me to collocate with team members or travel to the client site…

Need advice. I have a job offer in hand and visa transfer is in process. another firm reached out for an interview. Should I continue interviewing although I have a job in hand and would mostly likely take it up once the visa transfer is done or should I play safe and interview as a backup option? Asking coz I am Really exhausted with interview prep and just want to take a ⏸. Any suggestions or advice?

I'm getting sick of my brother that keeps stringing along and hooking up with women, never settling down. He's 45 and gone through 2 divorces already (guess why?) He keeps telling me he wants to find love, then next day he brags about all the women.. the cognitive dissonance man

My dad is generally supportive of me, but downplays my accomplishments and treats my confidence like arrogance. He barely acknowledges my wins and can be slightly (but not overly) negative. He does say he’s proud of me once in a while, but I do feel like my feelings are often invalidated. For what it’s worth, he’s an Asian dad and will always see me as his kid rather than an adult. Any advice? I try not to seek approval, but I do live with my parents (moved out then back in due to COVID)

If you started working at a company for like a year as a staff level, for example 2019-present, and this is reflected on LinkedIn, do you guys update any promotions to show it as (the date or year of promotion) -present... or just show it as 2019-present? I’ve seen people do the latter more but is that even right?
