Bain & Company Hi All, just received an invite to have a first-round interview with Bain for their ACI program which will consist of 2 cases. Wondering if I'll potentially be given healthcare industry-focused cases since I come from a science major and am pursuing an MPH? Also outlined in my cover letter that I'm interested in healthcare/life sciences consulting. Just trying to see what I can expect! TYIA Bain & Company

What does your OOO email say?
Wow sometimes SPG Suite Nights actually clear!
I am very hungover.
This is a candidates market and No shows have become part of the process. it is unprofessional but on the other end it is just as unprofessional when HR people do not reply to emails, do not acknowledge receipt of a resume they have asked for in the first place or do not follow through with feedback on why a candidate has been rejected...just saying...
Agree
If that is happening you are not asking the right questions. I like to ask questions like: how does that sound? How does this make you feel? Does this sound like something you see yourself doing? Is there any concerns about this role? Also 5 min within the call I immediately ask about salary. That’s the #1 thing people are looking at. Remember Money talks and If you can’t speak the language. They won’t answer. Hope this Helps.
In a perfect world all will show up to interviews in this economy. This is not uncommon and unfortunately happens to the best recruiters/sources. You need to make sure you did your best upfront. This way there is no "I should have done this" moments.
No shows and unfortunately several offer declines this month (definitely much higher rate than I’ve ever experienced)
Well - I've seen my kids ghosted by unprofessional recruiters who did no show without warning... and i am not talking kids getting a job at local coffee shop - graduates with master. 🥸There are unprofessional people, that's all.
This just happened to me very recently, you would think as HR professionals we would treat each other better. It took two weeks for the hiring manager to communicate to the recruiter. I will say the recruiter had excellent damage control and advised that the hiring manager did not communicate that they had picked another candidate after not showing up to my interview. The recruiter stated that would let me know if anything else comes up that matches my resume. We all know that means don't hold your breathe! As the professional that I am I sent a thank you note for getting me to the 1st two interviews (recruiter & supervisor). I will admit this happens a lot to Black professional candidates unfortunately, it has become par for the course!
Ugh that's terrible. It's hard to source for good personality nowadays without being burned like this
We have had no shows, but not too many as yet. Fingers crossed! Good luck to you.
I like to give them a phone call prior to guarantee that we’re gonna be ready for this phone interview.
Here I am just wanting to gain experience in the Human Resource area. To even have someone consider you is a blessing these days.
Happening a lot recently. It's unfortunate.
I actually have flexibility in my normal work schedule to accommodate for interviews. So, if you’d like to connect and see if I could be a fit for any of your clients. Let me know. For varying reasons, I’m looking.
Sounds to me like a lot of you folk are having a nightmare with your candidate control. Are you completely qualifying them for the job? Are you using your trial closes at every opportunity? Are you giving them an option to say they are not interested? I couldn’t tell you the last time I had a no show.
