Looking for referrals for Facebook (Meta) if anyone can help me out! I applied for the Associate General Counsel (Commercial) role and I’m coming from a publicly traded company where I have been Regional Counsel. I have 10 years experience in-house, 5+ doing commercial agreements. I’m really interested in this position, so if you’re willing to refer me please send me a message and we can work something out! Thank you!@

What skill set you have? There are some staffing companies that might be able to help
If you have your visa stamped, you may consider going to India. I have heard it can get complicated to move to B2 and then want to later change status to H1B. I told the employers after getting the offer that I am in India and they had no issues with it. Happy to answer any questions you may have. I know the time can be stressful, so good luck!

What country are you from? Normally I would say go the b-2 route. How much savings do you have?
Hard to look for jobs from another country. You can give zoom interviews but somewhere along the process you have declare that you are not physically located as of now. With all visa fuss going on, it can very well be a deal breaker for new company.

I have done this albeit in a slightly better economy. Found a role in 4 months.

Depends on your network.

Will you tell companies that you are interviewing from a different country? How easy is it to do H1 transfer from outside US? Is it the same? You should have stamped visa first and can enter US without issues immediately after new H1 approval. Going out to save money makes sense right now. But I wouldn’t have high hopes on coming back easily.

M1 is right. I would give it a reasonable amount of time, say till January.

There is no in-person interviews happening anyway. You will be better off to travel back and interview from India. Visa transfer process is the same. Assuming you already have a visa stamp, will only need i797 from new employer to travel back to the US.
