Hello all,
Hope you are doing well.
I have a condition and want to know your opinions. I have given a particular date 30th May of joining in offer letter Legato Health Technologies , but now they are saying that the joining will be delayed by a day Or two.
I am getting confused about this and also getting a little bit afraid as well as I have already says no to other offers and now this happens...
Request you all to please help me on this.
Thanking you all in advance.
Has anyone received an offer letter from EXL (Inductis India Pvt Ltd) that was extremely restrictive and reading which felt like one is signing up for going to prison rather than get employment? No leave policy mentioned, hundreds of paragraphs of worst case scenarios, pathetic salary breakup, etc. ?

I really should. I’m 98% sure nothing would happen. They need my charge hours, right?
I hate those indirect manager emails. "We should" (you should). Have you X? (Do X now reeee). Usually the same managers who don't make expectations clear then throw a fit. Clear communication is key.
Hate them!! My old job - this manager would always do the above... she was too big of a p$#%y to tell me what to do directly. No clue what she was doing 80% of the time...
I've sat next to my Director while he reviewed workpapers and he would ask these questions like every 5min. Not because he was trying to be condescending, but because he seriously didn't know why the approach made sense in this specific client environment. I think we really take for granted how much context and background we have when we do the work compared to the managers. I can see them being legit confused but the tone got lost in the email... but then again, I also have a manager who literally never tells you the answer and just keeps asking questions until you get there on your own. Gets really annoying and intimidates people but it's his style and he doesn't intend to come off mean
First of all, if my staff responded like that I would crack up (but I’m not really representative of the population). Depending on the personality of my team, I write these emails a lot. It’s mostly in the context of training in the hopes that if it’s painful enough that the lesson is learned. Take comfort in the fact that in a few short years, you’ll get to write those emails to others. :)
Personally I leave that type of comments to stimulate a discussion and help staff develop. It also takes longer to formulate a meaningful comment. Yes it's easier for me to fix the workbook for you, but I will be depriving you of your chance to grow and do better next time.
When I get to the third “are you going to ...” my answer becomes no, why would I do that? It’s not like I’ve been doing this same job for 20 years, and you’ve reminded me in twice already in the last ten minutes...so glad you’re here to make sure I know how to do my job!
I keep forgetting I’m an audit staff and am not allowed to make any mistakes since there’s no review process or anything right? I accidentally tested 5 too many. Might as well fire me now.
I am on the other side of a doofus asking questions without a) asking a team member the question b) sending files that have formula errors, which is why he can’t tie it in. He’s done it like 4 times and now nobody answers his questions on the first time or it’s people in your team know this please ask them first. It’s not good to waste client time and kisses them off as they are also cranking. Good legit questions always happy to answer. Nobody is perfect but if you are new start with your own team. Now all responses are ccd to the senior manager
I am assisting the client and I am not the auditor. The audit team has a senior that repeatedly doesn’t excercise the care I would expect from a professional on my team or a high performing audit team. He doesn’t check his work nor does he ask people with knowledge of the project. He just fires off emails for the client to figure out his issue
