On the beach while on the beach: any downside to spending bench time outside your home city if you know you're not getting staffed in the immediate future?

Hi fishes, It would be really helpful if someone can provide me with dev/data related project opportunities. I'm currently in CBO CE and on the bench, with knowledge in SQL, Python, Java. Currently doing Data engineering courses online. I'm a 2021 campus hire and have 8 months of experience in Deloitte working for a client. I'm just worried about my ratings since my coach said that as this year I got EXCEPTIONAL in client's impact, I shouldn't be on the bench and look out for opportunities.

While on bench , what does brillio ask you to do?

I’m supposed to roll off my current engagement today. My manager knows this, but he keeps giving me new things to do and says “need this done before you roll off”. I’ve probably gotten 3 days worth of work to do so I’ll have to work all weekend to get it done. Anyone else deal with this?

Just rolled off my two busy season clients. We filed and everything went well. Should I be worried that I am unassigned (week1) past already and my utilization rates around 65 percent.

Hey. Nagarrians, i heard from a friend, people joining recently have been on bench for past 2 months and have not got much project calls. And a few being given pink slips who dint get project for 3 months + failed any client interview. Is it true? If somebody dsnt get any allocation in 2-3 months, will he be asked to leave?? Can somebody please clarify?

For those that lift- what is a good measure for bench? I used to weight 155 and be able to put up 300 (couldn’t get the extra 15lbs on) cleanly (controlled descent and assent- no back arched and gentle touch the chest). Now I’m 166 and doing 235-245. Struggling to get back to former strength.

I was complaining about my project to my mentors/staffed and planting the seed that I wanted to get off it as soon as a better project came up (clients are a mess, I’m silo’d from my team, no skills/career development opportunity), but now.. 2 weeks later.. it’s amazing. I don’t do much. Set my own hours. Report to no one. Do I backtrack and stay on this project as long as possible or still roll off for better dev opportunities? (4 YOE)
