Making Work More Human - A Q&A with ex-KPMG Partners 11/6

On the human part, what do you envision providing to new parents if you expand in the US? Specifically talking paid leave for both parents.

We don’t have that level of details yet, but I can assure you that we will offer paid leave to both parents. I put a lot of effort supporting the girls in my team who were pregnant or had small kids (made sure having kids did not affect their career progression). The most amazing consequence was that many guys in the team started taking long term paternity leave (3 to 6 months), because they felt safe that it would not affect their career progression.

Glad to hear it! Speaking from my own experience, I felt far more ready to return to work near the 5/6 month mark than I did at 3 months. I was much more focused and "on," having had more time to recover and knowing my older baby could better fight the germs and illnesses brought by daycare. Having my husband's support for most of those weeks brought a world of difference and allowed real time for him to bond. All around a very positive experience and we both returned to work happy and fulfilled, if just a bit more tired

I’m surprised to hear you refer to grown women as “girls” when your focus seems to be on being progressive and people-oriented.

I took it as a form of speech. Definitely cultural, but not offensive
