My partner has been unemployed for a while, while over the last few months I've been climbing at work and just got a promotion and huge pay bump. I have a DR who does great work but constantly blows through internal deadlines. When I set more checkins to try to teach mid-milestones, it wastes even more of our time. Communicated my expectations verbally, and in writing. Communicated the impact on the team and our other workstreams. Nothing changes. What else can I do? I don’t want to PIP this promising person but I am losing my mind and constantly having to rescramble the rest of our deliverables (and my day) around him.
