How do you charge for small projects using a day rate with travel/partial days? For instance, if I'm running a workshop in anothet market and need to travel in the day before, have most of the next day free, facilitate a half-day workshop that afternoon, then fly back home the next day? Should it be 3 days to account for each day you are committing some time? 2 days to account for about the total amount of time spent in the workshop/travelling? Less to not include travel at all?
What salary range should I expect for a recruiting program manager role at Palantir? The role only has one salary on Glassdoor for 79k-85k at the Washington DC office, but I am applying for the New York office. Do companies typically adjust for cost of living in the initial offer? The average for this role industry wide is 92k base and I see some other top tech companies have a range of over 100k. Any advice and insight is useful, thank you!

I’m married and in my late 20s and a lot the leaders in my network (like 2nd degree PMDs and SMs) that keep insinuating that I need to “think about my 5 year plan and how children might impact my career” when I’ve never mentioned a plan to have kids anytime soon and have often outright said I don’t know that I want to have kids. Any advice for how to deal with those kinds of assumptions? I’m worried they WILL impact my career even though the assumptions aren’t fair or accurate.
