Once the dust settles post COVID what do you think the hybrid model will look like for most companies with number of days in office vs remote each week?

The dust ain’t settling any time soon, every other day they are announcing variants of concern.

It will be largely dependent on the headcount to real estate ratio.

I don’t think the hybrid model will last in a meaningful way. I think we will see in person and almost fully remote, with a higher percentage of remote than before.

I dont see companies paying for real estate that is occupied 3 of 7 days long term. I think hybrid meetings are really tough even with the best technology. I think hybrid scenario breeds “go getters” who will drag anyone with career ambitions back to the office

I kind of agree with Microsoft user above it seems like it’s going to be all or nothing for lot of people. However i do still seeing people having one day a week remote. The bigger change will be now that if you have personal errands like a doctors appointment, work done at your house,or feeling little sick, it’ll be more common to do a day remote than before.
Plus I do think you’ll have people hired as full-time remote as we are already seeing that now.

Truly should be an as needed basis. I wouldn’t even mind driving in once a day to check in, only if I can leave immediately after i’ve met with my team. No need to be chained to a desk for an 8 hour minimum (but usually 12) along with everyone else

After 18 years, I lost my art room to a classroom this year in order to spread out kids due to Covit19. They said we can’t hand out papers.. kinda thinking art is remote for all. I will do lessons on google classroom with live lesson to classrooms and home. I was told special area teachers may be “repurposed”. We will be used like a TA. One class will be spread out two rooms.Aday teacher in one room, I help in other room. B day teachers switch 😳😷☹️.. I know I’m lucky to have a job but.

Associates, how did you balance your morning sickness and fatigue in early pregnancy with work? Thankfully I’m still WFH, but worried about receiving insane turnarounds that require me to stay up late/all night and the effect it might have on the baby. I’m past my hours for the year and feel like I should be able to say no, but the team I’m on has a tendency to push past no’s.
