The dust ain’t settling any time soon, every other day they are announcing variants of concern.

It will be largely dependent on the headcount to real estate ratio.

I don’t think the hybrid model will last in a meaningful way. I think we will see in person and almost fully remote, with a higher percentage of remote than before. I dont see companies paying for real estate that is occupied 3 of 7 days long term. I think hybrid meetings are really tough even with the best technology. I think hybrid scenario breeds “go getters” who will drag anyone with career ambitions back to the office

I kind of agree with Microsoft user above it seems like it’s going to be all or nothing for lot of people. However i do still seeing people having one day a week remote. The bigger change will be now that if you have personal errands like a doctors appointment, work done at your house,or feeling little sick, it’ll be more common to do a day remote than before. Plus I do think you’ll have people hired as full-time remote as we are already seeing that now.

Truly should be an as needed basis. I wouldn’t even mind driving in once a day to check in, only if I can leave immediately after i’ve met with my team. No need to be chained to a desk for an 8 hour minimum (but usually 12) along with everyone else

What is the best objective source for determining whether to get the COVID 19 vaccine? Looking for sources and raw data and documentaries. I’m not looking for opinions I am looking for references to a variety of medical authorities. I have masked up this whole time but admittedly have not done any research other than what I heard in the news. So now I plan to approach this as an objective question to answer like I would any thoroughly researched legal question.

Does anyone have any thoughts about a company terminating an employee within the HR team for testing positive for COVID 19 and further accusing the said employee of being the one that created the entire team to become infected by not answering the health screening questions accurately? The week prior to employee being tested the entire team was in the office sick. The company in question weeks prior wrote the employee up referencing sexual innuendo due to an accusation of a preferred name.

In your opinion, where is the big law “office” going in the next few years. Do you expect them to keep the expensive real estate + eventually demand people back in, or consolidate, downsize their overhead and keep WFH? Relatedly, will that change the markets in the big metros?

Question about mentorship: in formal mentorship relationships (for ex. Where your mentor is a partner you work for and there is no personal friendship or friendliness), how often would you expect to meet/ talk to your mentor? And what kind of issues do you think should be discussed or not discussed? For ex. If I’m facing a particular issue while working with another member of our team, or I think my bonus needs to be extra good this year, are those topics that would be appropriate to discuss?
