Once upon a time I was told that Deloitte pays for the cost of an MBA. Can anybody confirm or deny?

Only Deloitte Consulting, other functions just offer an set amount for education purposes.

Yeah they do

They MIGHT. They’ll pay for evening classes, or for a very select few, they’ll pay you to go to a top tier MBA program with the understanding that you’ll commit to working for Deloitte for 3 years after you graduate or something

For people who get top ratings and have good connections after 4-5 years of work so yes but a small amount of people and at a slower pace than some other firms (whether that is a good or bad thing is up to you)

Advisory is capped at 10k I think and extremely hard to get approved (no longer an employee, this was a few years ago)

Coming in as an mba hire post-internship they will reimburse for 2nd year (including scholarship)

For those who’ve taken the Big 4 > M7 MBA path, did you need to differentiate how your experience at B4 was superior to that of your peers? Or is just surviving a few years with an average rating ok?

Hello! I have a two part question: 1) is it worth it to obtain an SHRM specialty credential if I don’t have the broader SHRM certification? 2) has anyone gotten the People Analytics or Talent Acquistion credential? If so, how valuable was it from a learning perspective? Do you feel it significantly contributed to your knowledge in either area? Thank you!

Hi 🐠! My firm is willing to file an EB3 GC for me, however I’m from a highly backlogged country and was wondering what’s the realistic timeline for it from start to finish? What would you do?

I am seriously just trying to get clarity and not do any bashing. Why do all my MBA friends (every single last one, sample size-8) who went to Deloitte hate it there? They won’t tell me why (I think between confidentiality and sadness) other than that they hate it. My friends in other places seem to have mixed opinions.

Hey! Can anyone assist with what can be claimed as workers comp? I was at work when I had my first episode of vertigo. Everything was spinning, wouldn't stop, and I couldn't stand or sit. I was freaking out and asked to be rushed to ER. Work paid for the ambulance. No physical injury. Insurance apparently didn't cover emergency charges. The out of pocket expense is about $2.5k and was wondering if I can claim this as workers comp. Again, no physical injury though.

New one here wanting to start taking control of my finances. Cleared $100K in student loans by 28. Got a new role with annual salary of $145K now. Next year I’ll be getting married and we’ll be pulling jointly over 260K +. Restricting my Roth contribution. I currently have a 401K (48K balance) and a brokerage (26K balance). I just opened up a Roth although I think this year would be the only year I can contribute 6K into it. Where else should I spread my money long term?
