Depends on what the cause of your skin problem was. But usually yes. It’s a topical treatment that only works when applied. I even experienced breakouts at the end of a tube as the product was starting to expire (my assumption).

I went off of it once before. My skin essentially regressed to where I started from. Occasional breakouts and no more tret glow. Tretinoin is a commitment.

So, I went off of it the first time because I was moving abroad to travel and didn’t want to buy the cream from the sketchy online sites. I’m actually back on it now and although it’s been a bit of a journey (between a new IUD and the “purge”, months 2 and 3 were ROUGH) being work from home has been the perfect time to do it and I’m really happy with my skin’s progress from a texture/anti aging/breakout perspective. TLDR - take advantage of working from home and start the journey!

Only permanent-ish acne fix is i know of is ISOtretinoin, aka accutane. However, tretinoin is also help with signs of aging
