Try to put yourself in your manager's position. Effectively do their job for them. And communicate. Once a manager feels like his/her to-do list is shrinking because of you, you're golden. And once you have people working for you, you'll feel the same way. Everyone just wants to go home. Help someone achieve that and you'll be rewarded. Easy. As. That. Be proactive. Ask your managers what you can do to help lighten their load. If they still give you shit, then it's really them, not you.

Is this an internal reputation with colleagues and superiors? Or is it a public reputation, where you’re known as the crappiest advisor in town?

You're over if that client opens their mouth around town

It’ll be a long road, however, change and prove yourself over time! Good luck!

I think my brother is an idiot when it comes to his dating life. He recently started dating someone that the whole family loves - really down to earth, great personality, educated, hot and has a career. I just found out my bro is cheating on her with his ex (who is toxic/manipulative, stole money from my mother & doesn’t have a job or trying to get one). From a personality, values & looks perspective, the new girlfriend is what every guy would dream of. Im jealous &wish I could date her instead

Long story short - Illinois IRS made me submit W2s for tax correction due to working out of state. Illinois IRS told me not to pay the amount remaining until my W2s were reviewed and I received a letter of the decision. Told multiple times not to pay and that my account was on hold. NOW they assessed a penalty and was told the call center can’t fix this after. I called in July to get this done before deadlines. What can I do. I was specifically told not to pay and that the penalty won’t b there

I’m a SPED Resource/Inclusion Teacher which I really love. I really like working with the Gen Ed teachers maybe because my background is Gen Ed. I’m noticing many SPED team members go straight to the principal if they have an issue with a Gen Ed teacher instead of going to the teacher directly. Is this the norm now? What happened to SPED working with Gen Ed? Maybe I’m old school, but this seems so wrong to me. Thoughts?

Hello guys,

I got an offer with a 60% hike and they asked me to reply to them with my resignation letter by tomorrow morning, only then they would proceed further.
I haven't resigned yet and am waiting for 2 more companies to reply about the offer.
Though after 2 months my appraisal period there so there are chances that my current company can retain me with the amount of offer letter.
So my question is how can I hold the current offer, like any excuse that feels valid & hold offer for 2 weeks.
