For example I imagine inputting parameters that I want X,Y and Z’s shared available open time within the next 2 weeks for example. My creative team lets the account team drive the copy and art direction for the team because they are the most knowledgeable people on the brand. It is the path of least resistance. There is no use for me to be a creative participant if this is the way it is. How do I encourage my boss to stand up for the creative process?

I'm an SVP/strategist with 25 yrs exp., but only 3 years in healthcare. I'm being recruited for a GSVP "account leadership" role (i.e., not on the strategy team) for two big unbranded campaigns. It sounds great, they know my med/reg comms exp. is very light, and I think I can do the job, but: Is there a real future for me on the account side if, at GSVP level, I still haven't done much meg/reg?
