Is it worth it to go back to school for a better track to a FAANG company? The division I’m currently in seems like there are no good opportunities, and I have the funds available to finish my undergraduate full time (Canada). Had an interview for an associate position at Citi. Interviewee was based in London and I’m in NYC. The only interview time that worked was 6am. I was barely functioning and feel like I truly messed up in my answers because I couldn’t not think clearly. I have another with the head of the division next week again at 6am (pre determined before this interview). It was also hard because the division’s core work is private enough that there was not much prep I could do beforehand. Tips?

Has anyone who's worked in HR, Finance, or another role with visibility to compensation information been able to use that as leverage for salary negotiations?

To put it bluntly, I know certain people with less experience and a lower performance rating are getting paid more than me due to my role working with payroll data. I suspect this was due to the fact that I did not counter offer when I accepted this role, which was a few months ago, and now I regret it.

Hi all! Is anyone here in Underwriting? Just want some thoughts on this as i’ve recently gotten an offer for an Underwriting Associate position and have never done any salary negotiations before. Does it seem unrealistic for my counter offer to be 12k more than the original offer? Considering that the original offer is roughly 8k less than the market salary. Plus i’m also accounting for wiggle room as i’m not expecting them to actually agree with the full 12k counter offer
