Was the BAH opportunity something you’d been working before taking the job at D? If so, then it’s NBD. You just tell them that it was an opportunity that you interviewed for before taking the D job and you didn’t think was going to happen. This happens way more often than you think. At 4 months in, you’re still very replaceable.
FYI, I know Senior Consultants who used to work for me who got hired on at 120k base with 5yoe so there’s another data point for you. However, that 120k will get 5k max raises per year for the next 10yrs. While if you were at Deloitte, in 10yrs you could be making 3-5x what you’re making now. That’s food for thought.
They’ll forget about you tomorrow. Don’t worry about people getting offended, just do what’s best for you.
I agree with D1. I like Deloitte but you gotta do what’s best. Congrats on getting that awesome offer

Better company, better culture, better role, and way better pay. Welcome to Booz.

Accenture pays very well for TS analytics resourcing. Great benefits. TS culture is better than the usual big Consulting firm WLB...but maybe not as good as staff aug Booz cruise
Take it! Leadership doesn’t pay your bills. Go where you are most valued.
Ask BAH for no signing bonus and an 8k salary increase. That’s not an uncommon move.
In that case, take it.
I walked off early once, and kept my signing bonus bc the HR person forgot to ever give me the paperwork on the terms. Hahaha. Too bad so sad.
Two pieces of advice. 1. “do you” and 2. “Secure that bag 💰 ”. I had the same thoughts you did when leaving Deloitte and I couldn’t be happier with the decision. Follow your gut here and don’t be apologetic about it. Congrats on the offer too!
Definitely thought about it haha but money talks and it’s essentially the same job just have to rebuild a network. You already stayed long enough to get the bonus there so you’re in prime position to bounce
Don’t let fear of an awkward conversation get in the way of a big pay bump. Gotta look out for yourself. The company will replace you within a week.

Exactly... before your obituary is out.

I’d vote to leave as you can always come back and the money matters- but merely want to state that 2-years+ XP with a Deloitte or Accenture stand out on a resume...

Go to BAH. It makes zero sense to stay when the money isn’t right and your skills are not aligned.
Want to make the switch to BAH after this year! Go for it, OP! If you don’t mind me asking what practice are you in currently?
Thank you!
I agree too, just do what’s best for you and what makes you happy. They don’t care about you, I would just make sure that your immediate team and supervisor get an explanation from you - even if it’s just that the new job aligns more with what you want to do.
Do what is best for you. You can't worry about their feelings
