I have an interview for a TPM role that I didn't technically apply to (my resume got passed along). I work in a technical environment but dont have a technical background. Do I actually have a real shot??
How technical are TPM roles? I know how to talk to technical people but not make technical decisions myself. Amazon Project Kuiper.

I agree, OP! I remember being there and my EM said, “Listen, we’re not saving lives here, don’t stress about work.”
Caring about work and stressing about it are two very different things. Caring can lead to stressing, sure. You should never feel that you need to stress about work in order to care about it.
Work is just work. It’s not who you are....though, sadly for some folks it is. You give your work, and they give you money. But that’s where it should end. If you’re stressing about work when you aren’t working, then you are stressing for free and you’re doing it wrong. Mentally clock out each day, not just physically or metaphorically.
That’s nice but also don’t think that life (Consulting or not) should depend on your superior controlling your self-worth.
The quality of your work (or other metric) is what matters. No whether your manager throws you a bone.
I know this sounds mean but I feel in consulting it can be a real problem.
It’s called being a manager or leader, which is few and far between in consulting. Take care of your people and the work will be taken care of.
Nice! I feel especially with WFH you don't get as much feedback. In the office you get more feedback opportunities and non verbal feedback.
