Just what the doctor ordered

********Scam alter*******
Hi fishes,
My post is about altering every new joinee of Accenture that don't fall into Sodexo meal card fraud.
Accenture will not let you use Sodexo other than swigy and Zomato food delivery. They don't let you use Sodexo money to grocery shopping.
I get to know this after 6 month of declaring my compensation plan
Fishes.... please let me know if there is any other way to use Sodexo money in Bangalore or when can I change my compensation plan now...??
Accenture
This is probably going to be taken the wrong way but I’ll preface by saying I mean no judgement and congrats on your engagement!
With a 2 carat ring, I would not wear it to an interview. Normally I’d say screw what people think, you do you. But in interviews, perception is everything. I’ve literally been in interview debrief meetings where a male candidate was dinged for showing up wearing an expensive watch (it was a bit outrageous but still). I wouldn’t risk it, that’s my 2 cents
I think it’s funny people always assume you have money if you have a big “diamond” ring...: I know a few girls that own moissanite Stone rings and no one can even tell a diff except the price tag was $3k vs $10k... and they are actually apparently more sparkly!
On. On your left hand. I got engaged while I was interviewing and for some reason having “the two body problem” or just the concept of being married somehow had people magically start taking me more seriously when I was networking and interviewing. No idea what it was
That’s true. It did change again when I became a mom. Interestingly, it even happened for my husband. He got a raise when he came back from our honeymoon for no other apparent reason other than now he had a family. 🤷🏼♀️
Dang girl 💎
Right?! I’m like dang I want a pic! Show it off!
Highlights how stupid it is that we are expected to wear our marital status on our hands!
Ahhh so nice to see that there was upside to my husband getting me a very modest ring:). Some jerk with a giant blinging ring once called it “cute"
Many women I knew in b-school would remove their wedding/engagement ring for interviews. There is unconscious bias from interviewers that you will have personal things (wedding/baby in near future) interfere in your work. It’s illegal, but it’s human to think this way. In my opinion, best to eliminate this completely. Interviewers cannot ask you about your personal situation, so let them guess.
Agree with this. It’s ridiculous we have to think this way but perception is reality and unconscious bias is real. I have a 2 year old and I’m already getting well meaning but loaded questions about if I want more
Wear it. You do you. I find with my wedding rings, I get taken more seriously as people tend to think I’m older. I’m 33 but look younger. It’s weird but for me it works
On.
On but on the other hand.
Everyone manager and below who married at my firm all the sudden gets promoted I don’t know if it’s because they think oh they need the money or it’s a they must be mature thing but it’s ridiculous
KPMG. It’s really bizarre
On
I thought about removing mine for my two interviews (almost two carats as well with a diamond band) but ultimately decided against it. At the end of the day, I don’t want to work with people who I have to hide something as simple as a wedding/marriage from. Ended up getting both jobs!
Depends on type of job and role you are interviewing for. Unless I am meeting w/ folks at C-Suite or industry event with power players, I generally dont wear my engagement ring and never at a client site unless I am meeting w/ executive leadership
Curious about this as well. I’m on the younger side and just got engaged.
I’ve been told people wear it but turn the rock towards the palm. Once in a while there just are ridiculous interviewers
