Does anyone have experience with Ben Glass’s “Great Legal Marketing” programs? https://greatlegalmarketing.com
I ordered a free “starter kit” from his company and received a decent-sized box with some books and audio CD’s. Haven’t listened to the CD’s yet, but the books aren’t bad, with plenty of practical advice.
Now he’s running a promotion where you can get two months of his basic-level course for just $19.95 to cover the cost of shipping. It seems that Ben is one of the better-regarded legal marketing “gurus” out there.
Im newish to Thermo Fisher Scientific but trying to understand the promotion cycle. It seems vertical career moves within Thermo are much more difficult than diagonal. When you are looking to move up a career band how often has that movement actually happened vertically in the team or group you work in?

The promotion will help you get something better when you move. I’d wait if you think you have a good shot at it and your job isn’t so excruciating it will affect your mental health.
Jotting this down in my pro vs con list. Thank you!
Not Sydney!! It’s trashhh. Brisbane is better
OP- there’s plenty of opportunities in Brisbane! It’s actually heaps better than syd because Sydney has a larger population competition. More likely to get a position in Brisbane compared to Syd :)
Vancouver is also one of the priciest cities in the world. Although if you’re coming from Singapore you might be alright. It’s very outdoors oriented, so if that’s not your bag, you might not enjoy it. Weather is great, sort of like Seattle but less rain.
Vancouver is very laid back and chill, and good if you enjoy the outdoors. Wouldn’t choose Vancouver if you want a city that’s happening and busy.
Yes, that’s exactly what I’m looking for. A city with some sorta life but also with a lot of nature to offer :)
1) best situation is to move with a job at your new location. Might even get a stipend to help moving costs
2) if #1 is possible, would be great to try to get the promotion to next level of position in your new location
