Hey Googlers, I’m going in for my GCP TAM second round on Monday and had a few QQs for you all:
1. For the RRK2 case study if there is a scenario for handling peak time workloads where the client did a lift & shift of a monolithic architecture, is the best suggestion to move them to micro services to enable serverless and auto scaling features?
2. I was told that they’ll give me 15 mins to prep after the case study is shared live, would you suggest I build a 1 pager or is that not required?Google

Worked there a few years ago before the pandemic and it was so hard. It was very much bro culture, all hot air about Be Unreasonable and ‘We’re not an agency’ and ‘our billing is unique’ and ‘equality for women’. Let me tell you that the working hours are completely unreasonable, they’re very much an ad agency doing average work, they billed by time like everybody else, and it is very toxic for a lot of women – few promotions, one of their senior CD’s would never make eye contact with women or let them speak in a meetings, and I heard that in London in the same year, 98% of those who quit one year were all female. I also found Karina a disappointment. She was super charismatic and if you’ve seen her do talks , she is amazing. Total badass. But she presided over a culture in many offices where women were routinely pushed to one side, o and her executive assistant is a toxic gossip to be avoided. it may have changed. But I don’t miss taking the elevator up to that place. Layoffs were common and often you would come to work one week and your friendly coworker would have just disappeared. It happened all the time. I think they use a Rank and Yank system when their staff overhead $ get too high.
I've been enjoying it so far. My team is cool. It gets busy but the work has been fun. I like my clients too. I guess it depends on the account but so far I've felt supported and cared for and there are opportunities for those who want them. You gotta be a hand-raiser and self motivated, from what I've gathered.
