I have a PhD in Biochemistry. I am interviewing at a small boutique law firm to be a science advisor for 1-2 years before taking the patent exam. The business is located in a high cost of living area, but my position would be mostly remote and in a low COL area.
I can find comp for patent agents in the area, but what would be normal for this in-between time?
I am a Principal Solutions Architect with 13 YOE of which 5 years exp is with Biotech focusing on Public Cloud (AWS) & overall AWS exp. 9 years. I need suggestions /opinions if applying for a Senior Solutions Architect (Level6) at AWS makes sense or if I should aim for a Principal SA (level 7) role at AWS with Healthcare & Lifesciences industry experience. If it makes any difference, I worked for AWS ProServe as an external SA in the past. Any insights / feedback appreciated.

ANOTHER REJECTION. 🎊 WOOHOO 🎉
Make $120k Accenture now doing tech implementations, just got offer 200k TC EY business consulting. I love my job, have a great WLB (working 20 hours per week, no travel, clear path to M in about 1.5 years) - am I an idiot for even contemplating staying? What I would be doing is more PPT/functional vs Onestream/technical which I do now.

Option 2 will set me up for better exit ops, and WLB looks good. Would be based out of NYC, but I am thinking of leaving the city and am not sure if I want to commit to staying longer because of a new job.
My current company gives me a lot of flexibility in work location (potentially perm remote), my bosses have indicated I am very valued and have built strong relationships across the company. However, I’m also beginning to see slower upward mobility in the company which worries me. Option 2 will be a hybrid return to office later this year and my new boss seems great to work with

I agree; option 2 seems like the best case to set yourself up nicely.
