I’m hoping to eventually work at Google in their Business Operations and Strategy division, but most of my experience (BDM, PM, int’l ADM) is for local startups and my BA is in Biblical Literature. It seems like consulting groups like Boston Consulting Group are considered pools for hiring potential Google candidates. Does anyone know if they help pay for schooling or if there are any other companies I could work remotely at on the East Cost that would help with this trajectory?

Elon Musk's business and technical acumen is greatly over rated in my humble opinion. I wouldn't take what he says too seriously.

This is a dramatic over-generalization... par for the course with Elon

On my first day post-MBA I was asked what electives I did and all I could think of was all the weekend trips I went on😂
An MBA literally tripled my income. It positioned me to take a stab at my dream job. I don’t think it’s for everyone and I think it’s becoming a little less relevant with online resources. But it’s working for me.
As far as his comments: Part of it is an argument against capitalism. Financials are important to shareholders and over-engineering a product is not always the answer.
Should more leaders spend more time on the manufacturing floor and be more connected to the product they sell and the people making it? Certainty.

@C1 OK. What's your point?
He will find a lot of GEDs in Texas.
Sounds like a triggered Californian here

I don’t think there’s much in an MBA that you can’t learn on the job. It just certifies you know the info. It doesn’t signal you can apply anything though.
His word is interpreted in a hyper reductive way by people to make themselves feel better, which is consistent with the general inadequacy and lack of self worth our society seems to be plagued with at the moment. His CFO is a Harvard MBA whom Elon encouraged and promoted to the c-suite at a rather young age. But yeah, let’s take the click bait and act like morons.
While we in consulting make fun of him, and not grasp the essence of what he is saying Palantir and C3.ai will soon build an armory of products to wipe us all out clean.
Not sure what you’re alluding to..probably a quip, but can’t figure out how. Either way, fwiw, I agree with your interpretation on his take on the matter the most (relative to everyone else on this thread).

Agree, same bus school crap being regurgitated
MBA is a useless degree for the most part; it's the new law-degree and will soon go the same way in a couple of years after the market over-saturates.
